I could say yours is.
Just about everybody knows MB stands for safety among other things. But Volvo stands for safety first and foremost .
It does matter who is thought of being the safesty in the grand scheme of things. Because that is their position (Volvo) in the heads of the people the main reason that helps them sell their cars.

So you say. Until you produce proof of this my point still stands. You don't know who everyone on earth thinks of first when it comes to safety. It could be Volvo, Mercedes, or Renault at this point. Volvo having a lock on being the safest in everyone's mind is very arguable and not the closed issue you want everyone to think it is.

Other then the extra bar in the grill, front bumper and rear lights, I don't see any difference.

Can someone please do some side by side shots. And was the interior even touched? If so, I see no difference.

There is actually one less bar on the grill, not one more... There are now three bars instead of four. The swicth for the top was changed as well as the vents on the center dash above the clock...

Man the SL is just timeless. The few exterior upgrades make it look like totally new car. The SL is still magical for Mercedes.

Thanks for the video.

Oh yeah, those are nice!
Btw, I`m really glad MB didn`t use the SLR`s nose on the facelifted SL.
The body design is too conservative for that.

I`m wondering when the next gereration SL will come on the scene. That one
just might get a nose cone like the SLR, or something along those lines.

A Schlong? :D

Just in case you come back HighestOfHigh here is the preface lifted SL.
The second is the facelifted one. Other than the paddle shifters I also don`t
see any changes to the interior.

Yeh, they for sure could have done more. O well, I'm not disapointed.

It`s a quiet change that suits the subtle styling of the SLs body. I think the next generation SL will be more flamboyant!

A nice little review of the revised SL:

The SL also rides more smoothly than before, and the chassis somehow feels more stable. Mercedes says no physical changes have been made to the set-up, but software alterations to the air-sprung system have delivered small improvements.

On an open road, the car is a real joy to drive, while all the modifications have given the SL's character and quality a boost. If you can stomach the huge £75,880 price, it makes the rise of just under £2,000 from the previous model look decent value.

IT'S what's inside that counts for the new SL - particularly when you consider it was already one of the best-looking Mercs anyway. The 5.5-litre engine offers better performance, and changes to the mechanics and chassis ensure the dyn-amics are noticeably im- proved as well. In this class at least, it remains a tough car to beat.

I'm convinced that the SL and S-Class are really Mercedes best and most well rounded cars. Well along with the MIA CL.
