Good morning, ladies and gents, how's everyone doing this morning?

Yesterday, we brought you the first photos of Kleemann's new tuning package for the 2007 Mercedes S-Class.

Only a mere 24 hours after we ran the story, Kleemann has officially released details of their lovely new monster, as well as more photos to further wet your tuning apetite.

As always, Kleemann began their transformation of the S-Class by addressing the exterior of the vehicle. To transform the standard S into the Kleemann S (actually, the Kleemann S50 S3), they began by adding a new front apron, which features a new spoiler and fog lights, and ultimately gives the front of the vehicle a much more agressive stance. They then added a new rear apron, which features their trademark diffuser panel and perfectly complements the Kleemann trapezoid exhaust system. To top it all off, Kleemann added new side skirts and an EBC lowering module, which lowers the S50 S3 up to 35mm.

After completing the exterior rennovations, it was time for Kleemann to address the performance of the Mercedes S-Class. To squeeze a little extra juice out of the already impressive powerplant, Kleemann fitted the S50 S3 with high-flow air filters and tubular exhaust headers, reprogrammed the ECU, and added a completely new exhaust system. The performance tweaks resulted in an increase of 40 horsepower, with 0-60 times of 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 180mph.

I know what all you power-whores are thinking: "Only 40 horsepower? What the hell?"

Don't worry, Kleemann's working on a new Kompressor System for both the S350 and S500 as well, which is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2006. There, are you happy now?

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

KLEEMANN S50 S3

23.11.2005

KLEEMANN has developed a new programme of aerodynamic enhancement parts for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The redesigned exterior transforms the S-Class from an understated luxury cruiser into a forceful looking sports saloon.

The deep front spoiler features a big "mouth" split into two sections with integrated fog lights on each side - absolutely KLEEMANN. The rear skirt with its built in diffuser panel, and trapezoid rear mufflers is another recognizable KLEEMANN characteristic.

Wide side skirts complete the stylish design and the S-Class has got a sporty, ground hugging appearance emphasized by the EBL Module lowering the body up to 35 mm.

Power to match the looks - Brand new V8-Kompressor under development.

To match the muscular and sporty looks of the car, a new engine modification package has been developed: A reprogramming of the ECU, high-flow air filters, tubular exhaust headers and a complete exhaust system increases power output by 40 Hp and 40 Nm.

For both the V6-powered S350 and the V8-powered S500 an all new Kompressor System is under development, and will be introduced to the market in Q1 2006.

Enhanced grip - Superb brakes

Fitted with the largest KB8 High Performance Brake system, the S50 features 380 x 34 mm vented and cross-drilled two-piece brake discs with eight piston forged calipers on the front axle. Rear brakes are 345 x 32 mm vented and cross-drilled two-piece brake discs with four piston forged calipers. All KLEEMANN brake systems come with separate left and right discs.

The massive brake callipers of the KB8 system are fitted behind the well known TS-6 alloys. Tires in sizes 285/30-ZR20 and 265/35-ZR20 ensure outstanding grip, and when fitted with the KLEEMANN LSD on the rear differential, optimum traction can be maintained even while cornering at high speeds.

This thing is going to be a beast, and if the ever come out with the supercharger this will be Lambo speeds. In a big body sedan, thats impressive, besides i like the Kleeman kit. Looks the nicest so far.

It is indeed a super nice kit. Love the exhaust pipes as well, thay really suit the S-Class almost better than the daul exhaust pipes AMG uses!

This kit would look even better if Kleeman used a rear diffuser.
That would really be awesome!!

looks very aggresive
makes me think twice about me not liking the design of the s-klase
and plus the added horsepower i have to say that i like alot

my sentiments exactly! First time i can trully say i like the new S!

I'll wait for the S63, but this is a seriosuly nice car! Funny how sometimes(as you guys have seen) a few visual enhancements can bring out the best in a cars design.

I think thats because Kleemann took out and blended the worst of the flaws! inda liek the fenders. They flow with the kit.
