Official C63 AMG

I still can't find words so...amm...here are the gear ratios :D

1. gear - 69 kph @ 7200 rpm
2. gear - 106 kph @ 7200 rpm
3. gear - 158 kph @ 7200 rpm
4. gear - 221 kph @ 7200 rpm
5. gear - 250 kph @ 6000 rpm (280 kph @ 6700 rpm)
6. gear - 250 kph @ 4900 rpm (280 kph @ 5500 rpm)
7. gear - 250 kph @ 4300 rpm (280 kph @ 4900 rpm)

Without the limiter at 250 kph (or 280 kph) it will hit the revlimiter (7200 rpm) at 300 kph in 5th gear... :D

this car will be like M5 and E63 fast in a straight line..

The M3, RS4 and this will make this segment so incredible. I love it. Good choice of color too.

My grudge is still the steering wheel. The center is still to skinny. Now that I'm working with car bodies for BMW, I tend to critique even the smallest things. But this is not small. Who thought it was a good idea to put the door handles like this?!

French salami, Italian sundried tomatos, black olive bread with sparkling water.

sorry, but was that enough to end your hunger? I would need a lot of French salami (which i absolutely love BTW), many tomatoes and even more bread...

PS. I just came back from two nice pork stakes :D :D

PS. sorry for hijacking your thread MB guys. it's a nice car.. :D

One of our Finn members found the price of the car due to mess up by MB in the list prices of C classes in Finland..
does anyone remeber that price??

Yeah they do look strange. One has to ask why the rear doorhandles are so far forward?

Now when we all have calmed down and our pulse is back to normal it's time to critically examine the car.

what do you guys think about the engine, is it identical to the one sitting in the CL, CLS, S and E? It that is the case fiddling with the ECU to bump the power up to 517. Or do you think some other modifications would have to be done. Can the gear box handle more torque?

Damn ...BenZ do it ..... BMW IS stupid company what are they doing with 3999 cc and 420 HP ....if u romve ECU guess i get 500 HP if this happen
C63 AMG will get 530 HP !!!!!!

I was thinking it's amazing, 5 years ago the E39 M5 was considered very powerful with 394bhp. Now, the RS4 has 414bhp, M3 with 420bhp and now the C63 with 457bhp!

I wonder what sort of power the next generation E63/ M5/ RS6 will have to form a big enough gap between the two segments. I seems the power war is not over!

Wow, a nice looking car I must say. I like the hood and front treatment...giant fog lamps lol. I'm just not a fan of those big vents on the side of the front bumper, it makes the car look too busy and a bit tacky...sort of like Carlsson-ish. OK OK OK Flame me now.

I'm not particularly fond of the C-Class, but this thing looks like a ferocious beast and the performance should be staggering. The segment is loaded with awesome cars....yay for us!

I don´t know about you guys, but this car doesn´t have what it takes to seriously compete with RS4 and M3.I mean,it has detuned 6,3 liter V-8,rather nice exterior kit, insanly borring interior(in comparison with RS4) and what else:t-hands: ?Not a one thing that makes it unique in any aspect among other AMG models. It is a C-class on steroids IMO:eusa_thin .

I guess you didn't read the array of new tech features? O well, KEEP-HOPE-ALIVE!:usa7uh:

So, what’s the deal with the C63?

This is the roadgoing version of Merc’s latest DTM touring car. It’s fitted with a 6.3-litre V8, kicking out a very serious - and M3 humbling - 457bhp and 442lb ft of torque. It’ll sear its way to 62mph in just 4.2 seconds, says Mercedes and is limited to the usual 155mph top speed. So it's as rapid as most Ferraris for a fraction of the price...

In fact, there’s very little separating the roadgoing C63 from the DTM racer in raw power, as the touring car only offers an extra 13 ponies. So every trip to the supermarket will feel not dissimilar to a lap of Cadwell Park.

0-60mph in 4.2sec! :eusa_danc

Coming from the horse mouth I have found out that the ring time for the C63 is 8.10 which is a good indication of what the car if capable off. I'll try to post more info about the lap time as soon as I find out more.

Off course we will all wait for SA lap time before we march the streets holding MB flags.

that is 1 second slower than RS4. Nah, I wait for sportauto supertest, I expect C63 to beat RS4 since both cars are using same tires and C63 is more powerful.

Oh so they are using the same tires. Interesting. Hopefully the C63 SA will be using will be equipped with the optional performance package.
