X5 [Official] BMW X5 (G05)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Don't worry,Bmw fans, not only Bmw,Audi and Mercedes all have some cost cutting works in their recent generation car.

Many Chinese customers complained the materials of Audi A8 D5 declined sharply comparing to D4,so does Mercedes's E and C-Class.

haha, some Bmw fans really hates me since I said some facts about BMW they dislike.

The BMW fans supposedly "hate" you because you don't have any facts to support your outlandish claims. You've done nothing but rely upon speculation, innuendo and anecdotal evidence to enforce your claims.

You simply cannot infer that BMWs in general are of bad quality based on 1 particular example. You need to prove that this is not an isolated incident and that the issue is pervasive throughout a statistical population of sufficient size.

You are so funny,man.
I came to the original forums of Germancarfans and worldcarfans back to 2001,later moved to this site in 2006 with the close of the orginal GCF forums. In my first ten years in this forum,I just watched and didn't speak a single word, because English is not my native language.I kept learning English all by myself in my spare time to improve my English writing skill,so I made my first statement in 2014 in this forum.
This is a car discussion forum since it founded, not a propaganda machine of some car brand I thought. On talking about car,it's reasonable to discuss every aspects of a car, including quality-related issues, not just some cheap praises such as "amazing" "brilliant" "the best" ect.
I am a good car fan,not a brand car fan,I never mind to point out any drawbacks of any cars,no matter where it come from.

And the picture? My observations?

Both may be Indications of a bad design or poor manufacturing, as I've said... I'm not going to rule that out just because I'm a BMW fan. But, I'm not going to accept an unreliable source mixing a contextless observation with opinion and speculation in order to pass those two things as facts also. As I said, I'm not denying it could be true, I'm just not going to take gdm's word alone for it, and that is because he has posted claims in the past that are reasonable provable to be factually false.

Understood regarding your apprehension with the source. That picture is much worse than anything I have seen, however it did remind me of my observations. If there is a substantial issue with interior leather, we will soon here and see much more evidence.

According to the author,90% owners of new G05 X5 all found the leather qulity problems.

Some Bmw fans looks like a press censor in some country, which is ture which is fake all depends on his own favour.what a funny.

I feel offended as I am part of the BMW fans. Please, if something bad has happened in your life, go and pour your frustration somewhere else. Sorry if I am too rude.

Google translate "I feel that 90% of the cars are available. At present, I only see the rear of the car without wrinkles. The outside jars are in the discussion    G05 used a new chair supplier, and there were serious quality problems. There are no wrinkles in the back seat of the official Xuanxuan sample car."

For 90% of new X5s that are apparently affected, that forum is a bit dry from comments or complaints I expected to see more, but if it is a real issue we should see more complaints coming through as more and more people take delivery. I know from the other site some of the complaints come from the electronics and not the quality of the interior.

Sh!t happens. It is more important how the producer reacts to a problem. If perfection was achievable there would have been no shuttles crashed (two out of four). I'm sure that BMW will get a grip on this but the real problem that I see in this picture is the shape of the bench. Just for comparison:

I am not offended even if such childish comments from a bmw fans like you are really too rude, haha.

Btw,when I first come to the predecessor of this forum in 2001,I didn't have a car at that time.10 more years passed,I have bought seven cars for me and my family in this period, but none of them was Bmw,although the main stream models of Bmw sold here are really cheap.

which is ture which is fake all depends on his own favour.

If something is true, there is evidence. If it's your opinion that it is true, but there is no evidence, then it may be fake... that's all there is to this. A photo of a poorly upholstered X5 seat is evidence that *that* X5 has an issue. With a higher number of complaints it could be shown to be a material issue or batch issue, with consistent and frequent complaints, it could be shown to be a design or process issue.... one or two photos, and unsubstantiated "a guy on a forum said..." are not evidence of the latter. This is just simple reasoning... it's not childish and it's not an attack on you.

For 90% of new X5s that are...

Agreed. As I stated before there have been numerous complaints about electronic issues on other forums. If anyone needs links please ask and I shall provide.

With our crappy diesel fuel the X5 M50d ran a 5.33 second 0-100 km/h, a 13.68 second 1/4 mile at 165.05 km/h, a 21.56 second 1/2 mile at 199.92 km/h, a 24.99 second 1 km at 209.82 km/h and a limited 249.71 km/h top speed at Gerotek impressive numbers when BMW claim 5,2 to 100kph.
