The X line with those 21inch rims looks close to perfect. The new X5 and X6 have brilliant rim designs, the 22inch on that grey M sport X5 looks awesome.

Doesen´t look like they put any effort in the light design/details on this facelift. The pre-LCI headlights looks so much more detailed, and it smells BMW from 1000 meters distance.

I also prefer the pre LCI headlights, they give the car more character and they look 100% BMW. The newer DRLs could come off a Skoda, they lose the essential 4 eyed face of BMW headlights.
Actually comparing pre LCI and LCI together in the same colour and wheels I prefer the Pre LCI styling overall. The front bumper and intake design looks nicer on the older version.

Its the same feeling with me, I like the pre LCI interior better, it has nicer looking central vents and still has the glorious gearknob.

I beg to differ. These com plicated lights look outdated to me. A simple LED unit simply is way more technological and modern.
Just look at all the shit going on inside that unit!
And not to mention the eyebrows! The 2001 BMW 7er had eyebrows already, man. Truly time to stop that thing.
EVs made gearknobs look extremely old fashioned.
I am all for gear knobs, but really only when a car has an actual manual gearbox. Cars with auto gearboxes-only can (and should) be designed without that stick in the middle which has ZERO use and looks ungainly.

I understand that you do not want to "let go" since the original was a great design, but here are the double headlights, a new more minimalist design but above all updated and modern, and the interior is the same but minimalist and modern even with more surface woody, but if I want the lever, even if it's to pass it from reverse to first.
But I understand your preference, especially when something is so well designed from the start.

I saw that car at the Welt, one thing that struck me...
The mix of matte black plastic with the kidney, gloss black plastic for the slats and trim, and then Carbon Fibre for the accessories...
I didn't dislike it, but I preferred the era when the kidneys were chromed plastic, the slats were matte black plastic, and if there was carbon fibre it was a proper body part, and not a stick on bit.

I don't understand these black-plastic connector pieces.. they look so cheap! First the E-Class with the black-grille surround and now the BMW X5/6 LCI and 5er with the black plastic connecting the kidneys to the lower grilles.. Audi and Lexus were ahead of their time with having full unit grille pieces.. why does BMW and Merc both need to dilute their grille-designs by "hiding" with black plastic?
Like.. having a full vertical kidney on the G80 M3 is one thing.. it's still a kidney.. what is the need for that black piece in the bumpers to now hide the shape of the kidneys especially on the X5/6M? Makes the whole shape look like Lexus's "Spindle"
