Compared to that silver one, darker colors really help this car hiding its weird and cheap front parts, but it really needs 20" rims AT LEAST.

The X3 is the only car I think of as being feminine.

I am going to withhold final judgement until I see it IRL.
Based on the pictures so far, I am yet to be convinced on the F15 over my E70 which by the way needs to be replaced within the next 12-16 months.

True. That the ML went down the same route probably means this was likely the result of customer clinic feedback and the need to appeal to the millions of 'soccer mums' who actually buy these vehicles.

After having seen the latest pics I think the front end, on dark colours and with a lot of chrome looks quite nice. It looks terrible in white however. The profile and rear are a disaster IMO. I can´t stand why BMW has designed such a gigantic hoffmeister kink, in contrast with the perfect one of the E70. I caný stand the fugly rear lights, or the cheap looking chrome inserts on the rear and the side profile, like if some lucid mind claimed "hey, we got to put some chrome here and there".

And the M Sport pack does not convince me neither. It tries so hard to give the car the style is completely lacks of that you can´t see why there are some many lines and shapes on that front bumper.

This is surely the worst design from BMW in years and years. The 1er at least has just and ugly front end, but a fantastic looking shape, profile and a nice rear end. A simple LCI will change the ugly front. But this? this has no solution.

Question to all the JLR fanboys: given the above, how is it that the by 420 kilos weight reduced new R/R Sport is so appallingly shitter in all metrics than the now much heavier and cheaper X5?

That may be but it doesn't take away the legitimacy of the criticism that some have aired. I could post a picture of the rear end of a Pontiac Aztec to make the same point, other butts are much worse. So?

And BTW, I think the F15 looks great.

Here in this BMW F15 thread everyone is allowed their generelized opinions, I do not see a bunch of red x disagrees or dislikes. Neither do i see accused for being BMW fanboy members acting all crazy about negative posts and opinions about the F15. I think its fab! I like every aspect of it. And yet why?:
Go try and opinionate yourself in the W222 thread, you will be stoned like in the medevel times...

That gets me, really it does and i do not understand what the hell is wrong these days...O'well whatever.

I drove a new Porsche Cayenne S V8 Diesel the past weekend. My company warehouse supervisors brother-in-law came to visit, I was told about the new Porsche and that after a 4 month wait he got it the week earlier. So Friday afternoon I asked that if (and they should not go out of their way) they can come and show me the Cayenne. I was still in my payamas when my phone rang Saturday morning, they were on the way! I brushed my teeth, got some clothes and a cap on my head and they arrived at 8am.
The car has lots of extras, including PASM on steel springs. Ride is firm/hard even in comfort mode, cabin has some fine rattles (it is brand new) and it has THE ugliest ass in the business, also there are trim in hidden areas I do not like. So then, the F15 looks as if it is going to be what I see and that is just awesome!

It will be another great X5, rest assured
