X3/X4 [Official] BMW X3 (G01)

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
Verdict
The BMW X3 is a great all-rounder. It offers space, versatility, refinement and engaging driving dynamics, so much so that X5 owners might be tempted to downsize. It’s also good enough to drive that upsizing 3-series owners won’t feel short-changed.

Those wanting the ultimate performance hit will always lean towards the M40i, but we’d argue the 30d better showcases the X3’s impressive blend of abilities. That’s the X3 we’d buy.

I'm not one to normally gripe about fake vents and the like, I'm okay with them just being styling devices... but this peeves me a little, BMW clearly implied in the launch press material that the wing vents formed part of the air-curtain system...

.. but it's clearly not.

So who from our U.S friends on this forum is going to sue them first? Quick guys, there's money to be made. Fake news, they're selling us something that doesn't exist!

It looks very good in silver but it pains me that BMW have decided to offer two types of tail lights. The standard ones now look like an absolute joke against the sexy ones we'll see on the X4, Z4 and the G20.

I'm absolute with you, Centurion. I think it's time for a new tail lights design which we will get at all new models (at least I hope it) beginning with the 8-Series. :)

I m suprised that on pictures showed above and posted by Paybal and Nikola1984 that the buttons are still black. I remember when I saw the car in Zurich (it was an X-line one, as the M40 was stone detroyed during Media shooting) on June 29th, most of the buttons were silver which gives a premium look to the center console. And a good improvement compared to actual F25/F26.
I really enjoyed all the work that has been done on the design of the inside, even the Panorama roof WAS AMAZING. Far bigger than the one on my ex F25 and ex E91.

Congrats to the new and happy owners.

I was sitting in this new X3 last week and there is unpleasant generic smell like a fake leather. Do you know is BMW use real leather for seats of the G01, because I also try G30 and G11 and there wasn't such a smell?

The G01 use BMW's new Vernasca leather replacing Dakota leather in the F25 X3. Dakota is standard on the G30, Nappa standard on the G11 with Merino an option on both.

I once went back and forth between the new XC60 and the V90 and was dumbfounded by how much more luxurious a car feels when upholstered with expensive leather. The XC60 felt like a lesser car despite the interior looking identical.

Disappointingly Merino nor Nappa is an option on the X3. Both the Evoque and EPace have full nappa leather as an option.

As far as I know the silver trim inside is an optional package.
