Any idea whose the maker of these new dual clutch for BMW? Apparently the DCT boxes in the GLA and Q3 aren't the best implementation , hope the X1 does a better job.
Superior tech for performance, inferior tech for reliability. I would shit myself if BMW put a dual-clutcher in a 3er. Bye bye - I'd be off to 9G-Tronic.

The dual-clutch transmission was mentioned in the press release in May. Interestingly, it also mentions the 7 Series getting the full black panel instrument display as standard.

I very much doubt it. As Scott pointed out, fleet vehicles and business purchases will probably opt for the cheaper versions, so there's still a market for these .
