Portimao.
Competition Drives M5 and M2.

Wheel look great, best of what they have on offer for the M5 right now.

Must be the lighting Scott, I don't think so.

I love those bicolor "Competition" rims. A 21" version would be a great option as well. Not exclusively for the M5 actually.

Floating calipers just don’t look right on a high performance car. BMW might think they are adequate, but they don’t look right. They are persistent bunch aren’t they.

And can one get the Competition wheels without that black center?

I am thinking the exact same thing.

Perhaps in monocolor brushed satin silver ? Or a metallic lighter grey replacing the black finish ?

I had exactly the same feeling! Even if it works (and tests tell us already that it works perfectly) it looks so weird and "underdimensioned" ... even on my F82 the rear caliper looks massive compared ...
If BMW would offer a bigger brake kit for the rear in the M Performane Program I would vote for it solely for the look.

All I want is them to stop this bicolor wheel fad

It looks ridiculous. What is the point? Why do they want to make the rims look tiny and breakable? All it does is make the fat body of the car stand out, where it should be the focus of attention....

And I also think 20" is too small for this car.

Certainly not conducive to wafting and major curb-rash magnets...

Still...kinda cool. They'd fit the new 8 series well, I suspect.

I say the same about the black/dark grey monocolor wheel fad. Eyesores, those are...

I could do without the black painted wheels. however, I still like the gray rims when done right, particularly the "Platinum" finish on Porsches and Ferric option on Ferraris.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
