M3/M4 Official: BMW M3 GTS

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

These pictures were taken inside the BMW AG owned dealership in Munich off the Frankfurter Ring.
This is where BMW employees receive their cars from and where my Touring came from.
The Fire Orange car is a one-off but this car will be going to a BMW employee very soon.

There is an M3 convertible at London park lane. The same colour.

I may be wrong but I was under the impression that the orange colour for the GTS is "Inka orange"?

Also, will the GTS only be sold in the orange colour or will there be options?

The very first information on this car (prior to its official unveiling) was a bit off in that regard. Actually, the color is "Fire Orange".

The GTS is available in every color, as long as it's Fire Orange. :D

Whoo, it's amazing how far things have progressed from the very first days of the motorcar that something remain the same.

Remember the Model-T, any colour you want as long as it's Black. LOL

Top Gear drives M3 GTS

Slide ruler: BMW M3 GTS takes on Austrian Alps

Animals and cars don’t mix. Muntjacs – a doe-eyed but truly devious deer – have a habit of wandering into the roads round my way, and you really don’t want to collect one of those at 70mph. Here, 7,500ft up the Austrian Alps on the infamous Grossglockner Pass, the warning signs feature something apparently cuddlier: the marmot. Technically, the marmot is a squirrel, though it looks like the gopher that terrorised Bill Murray in the comedy classic Caddyshack. Hitting a marmot in an M3 GTS would be no laughing matter.

IMO the whole E46 range impressed me more than the E90 series, thus ditto on that comment :t-cheers:

Nevertheless this Beemer rocks!

^ You're right. The E92 is my LEAST FAVORITE 3er coupe so far. I liked the E36 and E46 much more as a coupe. That's why I always liked the 1er coupe more than 3er coupe (and still do)

E92 is too soft, too round. i can't quite put a finger on it, but I've never liked the car as much as I should have.....and the FL really didn't help the front IMO.

:t-cheers: Me too!

Damn, so extremely good looking. Nothing soft about this mighty M3. It's even more impressive irl!

BTW, my post above refers to the regular coupe, not the M3 :usa7uh:
Regular coupe is nice, but not amazing like new 6er, 5er, 7er or Z4.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
