3 Series (F30) [Official] BMW F30 3-Series LCI [2015-2019]

The sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series consists of the F30 (sedan version), F31 (wagon version, marketed as 'Touring'), and F34 (fastback version, marketed as 'Gran Turismo') compact executive cars. A long-wheelbase sedan version (model code F35) was sold in China. For this generation, the coupé and convertible models were spun off to create the new BMW 4 Series nameplate. It was succeeded by the G20 3 Series, and the G26 4 Series Gran Coupé (F34). Production: October 2011 – October 2018
I don't think the rear indicators are LEDs at all. They don't look like it in the photographs and now I've just read this:

"The Rear lights with lighting elements in LED technology consist of individual high-performance LED lighting elements and have the characteristic BMW "L" shape. That strengthens the rear end's identity as a BMW and makes the vehicle recognisable as a BMW even in the dark.

The large indicators and fast-acting LED brake lights also play a role in making the BMW 3 Series even safer."

If they were LED surely it would say "LED indicators"?

Looks like LED to me:

And check this one, looks like LED, again:

I think they call them large because they now extend all the way into the L shape of the boot, unlike before:

I'll say this - barring the lack of fit tightness in the dashboard trim pieces and the questionable transmission tunnel plastics, the Pre-LCI interior is solid, hard-wearing and robust.

If the dashboard lacks tightness and the transmission tunnel plastics are questionable what exactly about the interior is "solid, hard-wearing and robust?" Seems to me like the two most major parts of the interior (dashboard/transmission tunnel) are lacking to you. Genuinely interested in what it is about the F30's interior that you think makes it so proper and impressive.

This new 3 series will win 9 out 10 tests but 9 out of 10 reviewers will still say they are disappointed with the interior.

Yeah I agree with you if you check the video as well the indicator does look LED. One thing for sure is the LCI revised rear lights look very attractive with the all red casing and new LED tubes. The one thing on the pre-LCI model I didn't like was the colour of the brake lights when they were activated, it was more a light red/pinky red than a bright red as on LED tubes.

Yeah @deity, my post was really funny.

I have an F30 which I use for business travel primarily. I am aware of the interior imperfections. They seldom make themselves known or detract from a satisfactory ownership experience. For the rest of it - the structural integrity, quality of materials, overall perception of solidity remains. I can't fathom what your problem is with me and my F30.

That sure looks classy, the lighting on that shot also accentuates the nice brightwork metal surrounds on the vents, HVAC controls and area near the gearshift/ashtray/cupholders.

The interior of the F30 is ergonomically excellent, highly modern and has a nice combination of classiness , luxury and sportiness. The build quality is still very good, it's a nice place to spend in when driving or been a passenger. The space is more than adequate and the seats are highly supportive and very comfortable. Any imperfections in the interior are minor ones and most will be forgotten once a person starts driving the car, cause it really is a fantastic car to drive, smooth as silk but also a scalpel when driven in anger, it is has a level of engineering and design integrity that is the envy of other car manufacturers.

The interesting part I'm learning here, there's more to an interior than looks and feel. Especially @Busty remarks about the innerlife of a dashboard are interesting. For me however the haptic/feel part of an interior is still very important. Using my car on a day to day basis and ca. 1.500 kilometres per week it's an important factor. I can understand @martinbo very well with his issue on the hardplastic surroundings of the transmission tunnel. You look at that part and touch it every day.
In the pictures shown the LCI dash looks smart and good, I like the luxury dash with the leather upon it very much.

And now for something completely different en OT:
I can't fathom what your problem is with me and my F30.
I love this sentence :-) As a Dutchman (rich maritime history) I appreciate the fathom part. Trying to use this part of your sentence in future, if it fits the conversation.

Damn, it won't be easy to do a tail lights retrofit on pre LCI F30, because turn signal is in inner lights too and turn signal's cables should be routed to a trunk. I guess same will be with F32, so I will have next few years regular bulbs and orangle colored tail lights on 2015 F32  I had plan to replace tail lights with full LEDs as soon as LCI is available. I still hope BMW will offer a retrofit like it did on E92, E46ci etc.

About F30 LCI. Nice. But those things (full LED tail lights etc) should have F30 at beginning.

So who can clarify the status of Modern Line? In the pictures above Pre-LCI model shown is the Modern Line variant. Now, I haven't seen any mention of Modern Line in the latest F30 press release. I am guessing that we're seeing a comparison of Modern Line vs Luxury Line.

LCI comes only as Sport Line, M Sport, Luxury Line and Advantage.

No more modern line....there was statement or some article about that, few months ago...
