There appears to be some confusion on the actual production numbers of these vehicles ......Bentley is now continually issuing limited editions (like Rolls-Royce does) so I'm not certain the EWB is a strictly limited production model or not.
This is a direct competitor for the Ghost rather than the Phantomn though, no? That said, I'd say the luxury this thing provides is ten times better than the plasticky and outdated GhostThis is the still the most luxurious car in the world IMO. Nothing I've ever sat in, including the Phantom, felt as expensive as this car. Stunning luxury. OMGEE luxury.

Price wise it is on par with the Ghost, but in presentation and all other things related it is a match for the Phantom IMO. The Ghost is vastly overpriced IMO. Great car, but overpriced.

Very interesting info. I am guessing the front end styling of the Mulsanne is still an acquired taste for some and the interior switches, especially on the dashboard, and the infotainment system is really showing its age.I tell people that the Ghost is the best ultra-luxury car to buy... second-hand. It looks at least $100k in value the moment the first owner drives off the lot.

A friend of mine who works at Manhattan Motorcars says despite the fact that the Mulsanne is better crafted than the Ghost (I'd go as far to say the Phantom as well), clients gravitate towards Rolls-Royce because they precieve the brand to be more luxurious, and they drive off in Ghosts or Wraiths, which are about the same price as a pre-FL Muslanne Mulliner or Speed.
Sales of the Mulsanne have been below company and dealer targets since it was introduced.
Yes, but in all honesty, the Mulsanne was never primarily intended to be a tour de force of new technology and design the way an S class is. Of course, the Mulsanne is packed with state-of-the-art tech and certainly doesn't embarrass itself next to the big Merc, but the Mulsanne has a greater feeling of 'permanence' and artistry ....even when its tech is entirely outdated it will retain its status (much more so than the Flying Spur I expect).Very interesting info. What do you mean by "bad standing"?For Europe, i can say that Bentley has a bad standing with dealers. Average stock cars are more than 10. Worldwide Bentley is struggling hardcore. Bentayga is worsening the situation in many areas.
That really is not good. Do you know how Rolls-Royce sales are doing?Dealers are not making (much) money. There's a couple that are making good money such as Jack Barclay but most others are having problems with profitability.
You are correct, sales are definitely down. Personally, I think the Continental GT should be replaced by a smaller two-seat sports car precisely like the EXP 12 concept shown at Geneva.

I thought the Bentayga was doing wellI still can't help being cynical of the whole idea of ultra-luxury SUVs .....the G class Landaulet and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan are just as silly.
However, Bentley sales under VW are huge compared to the old days.
The CGT gets lots of sting for being a heavy and occasionally bloated looking pig, but there's a reason why it's the VW Golf for millionaires. If you are a tall or big guy, it had very comfortable seats, a practical boot, is fast, has plenty of engine and interior customisation options.
It's a fantastic daily drivers in ways that other sexier cars like the DB9 or Maserati GranTurismo aren't. Personally, I have yet to drive one but from the 2 owners I have spoken to, it's a fantastic daily driver.
very interesting.Dealers have been "drowning" in Bentley stock for quite sometime, at least in the states. Bentayga sales started off hot, then sales slowed down rather quickly whilst dealerships became overstocked. Bentley claimed that 2 model years were completely accounted for in the press release, however, they did not elucidate that this mostly meant dealer allocations. With an average MSRP of $265k, its arguably the most overpriced vehicle on sale today.

Sales of the Continental range have been stagnant since 2013, which is why they are constantly introducing new editions, with either more power, louder color combinations, or peculiar leather stitching.
Where I live lease rates for the GT & Flying Spur V8 are considerably less than a loaded S550 Coupé and Saloon despite MSRPs being in line with S63 Coupés & Maybach S600. I'm starting to get emails regarding Bentyga discounts as well.

Rolls-Royce has been matching or beating it's own record for sales for multiple years. The Dawn, Wraith, and Black Badge editions have been strong sellers
