Exactly. Most stupid move of Audi EVER. It hardly deserves an "S" badge. Just a normal Q3 2.5T.

I hate the RS Q3 myself, but what does CLA or A class have to do with the Q3? Totally different classes and cars.

I mean it just doesn't make sense for Audi to charge $82k for this, you can get proper performance cars or hatches for this price or less.

I dunno, the more I see the Q3 on the roads the more I love it. I'm going to go in to the dealerships to check this RSQ3 out. But even the S3 seems like a relative bargain in comparison.

Agree, Audi's own S3 starts at $60,000. Absolutely loaded it's about $75,000.

I just don't see a market for this car, it's off-road ability what little there was went out the window when they lowered it and fitted performance tyres and now all we are left with is a car which isn't as accomplished on road as it in house rivals costing considerably less. It's like BMW building an X1M which isn't as good as the M135i but costs 30% more.

I see it like thus.

SQ3 2.5T - 310hp - 0-100 5.5 sec
RSQ3 2.5T - 360hp - 0-100 4.9 sec

That would be such a different story.

That's an extremely glowing review. Little did I expect the Q3 to have a chassis designed for performance instead of something to bolt an SUV body on-top. The words written by Richard Meaden are akin what you would expect them to write about the Porsche Macan.

Like I have said before the Q3 and Country Man are nothing other than overgrown hatchbacks so when the spring are replaced for stiffer ones and the shocks are lowered, it shouldn't come as a surprise that these cars can move.

One seriously impressive small SUV that currently has no real direct rivals but the price is eye watering.

And to think EVO gave it 4.5 stars!!!

It's shocking to think that these times better normal performance cars like the M135i and almost beats the RS3 which also has AWD and has more power. Me thinks Audi are telling porkies that they're detuned the engine to 310hp.
