A7/S7/RS7 Official: Audi A7

The design is too predictable but because I find the A5 Sportback to be a very attractive and exciting car, I'll reserve my judgement until I see more photos. On the topic of four door coupes, Mercedes CLS still rules when it comes to execution, distinctiveness and proportions.

Eeeeeeeewwwwww!!!!

Uuuuugllllyyyyy.

Even A5 SB looks better, and I already dislike that car. The side profile is HORRIBLE. Makes the Panny look nice!

.....Gran Coupe

stunning for a sedan but still don't see the 'coupe'

in grand coupe.

Maybe so, but this thing here has absolutely NOTHING to do with a sedan or coupé. It's a giant ugly hatchback.

When I saw the pics on the GCF homepage, I thought that it was an A8. Honestly, the car looks very predictable; it's the generic Audi styling in a hunchback. If it wasn't a hatch, it would probably look better. I wish Audi had done a real four door coupe.

What happened to the interior? It seems like a house fell on it.

I feel exactly the same way. The interior looks messy, and the pop-up screen looks cheap. However, I'm not exactly loving the interior color combo, so perhaps another combo might make it look nicer.

It reminds me of the old Audi Avant which was a similar shape (I think it was the C2?) The Exterior styling is generic Audi but they will eventually come to the wall that BMW faced when it had to go radical and distinguish it's cars from each other.

For Audi that time is almost upon them , every report I have read about the A8 criticizes it's appearance, dont think the media will be going easy on this one too.

It's actually a much better looking car in person. As for the A8, I have to agree with you, though while I'm not a fan of the looks I feel that most of the complaints are directed towards it because it just looks too much like an A4 and doesn't command to presence of a car of this caliber.

Luckily the A7 doesn't fall into this category, it's totally different looking than any other Audi (frontal looks aside), with an interior that again is complete new and unseen before.

Audi A7 Sportback??
More like Hunchback..
Its a freakin half kombi as we say in sweden.. ( half wagon )

Profile looks weird... but it was the same with the Panamera in picture, which turned out great in real life. I'm hoping it's the case here too.

Front looks like ok, rear is absolutely horrible and the interior has way to much design elements of the Jag XJ and the door design is to funky! Thumbs down Audi - I don't like this car.

It actually reminds me of 5er GT...this car can never compete with the CLS or even Panamera.

It'll go fine against the 5er GT.:D

To the surprise of absolutely no one, I like it. A lot. Not feeling the poop-coloured interior, though.

I'm in agreement with you. It's only when you see it in the fresh can you fully appreciate it's fine looks. The age of the luxury hatchback is upon us.

This has absolutely nothing of 4 door Coupe, because if coupes looked like this but with 2 dr less anyone would buy them. I can understand ideas like the 6er GC, wich is a 4 dr 6er, simply but nice. But this? Come again.

This is it? Its so boring....predictable...what is the point of this and the A5 Sportback?

M

Is this the car that will compete with the future CLS and 6er Gran Coupe? Ha, ha, good joke!:t-crazy2:

The second epic fail after the new A8!

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
