A7/S7/RS7 Official: Audi A7

I think the centre console looks insanely similar to BMWs, like where the HiFi and aircon, that whole segment.. but overall the interior is something special.
Nothing appeals me with the exterior, i'd prefer the A5. well, it's just a weird version of A5. Against competitors, i think the Porsche looks much better, at least the shape is their traditional shape, while the BMW 5GT has its practical values, looking weird trading off for the functionality. This - i don't know why.. people would buy it because it's weird because it'd catch peoples' eyes.

I don't want to start the whole Audi - BMW thing all over again, but lets be open and honest. As with the X3 dash design layout that I myself said had similarities to that of the Q5 - so does the A7's center console have similarities with BMW's current lineup from X1, F01, F10 etc. is obvious

Fact is that similarities between the layout of the two German brands say something about what both see and maybe copy ergonomics as it represents the perfect 'form follows function'.

One thing the A7 has achieved in my books is that the X1's design as a whole (hatch, elongated bonnet, practicality etc.) makes perfect sense. And for those who does not see the point or get what I see...frankly I don't give a damn.

Summed up: 5GT + X1 + CLS + A7 = Fresh and practical design ideas AND all of them has that 'otherness' in common.

It is nothing wrong, if BMW copies Audi (as would say footie), at least I will no more envy Audi interiors, minus the the many buttons.
But after comparing the interiors, it seems Audi and BMW started from different places, but their evolution lead to one and the same place. That is why the interiors look similar. It is true that both Audi and BMW interior layout is nice. This is maybe the perfect interior.

car looks great, much better than its arch rival 5er GT, (but i actually quite fancy it funky look, could be my next car).

but why does every audi new car thread has to be flooded with negative comments from bimmer fanboys?

The size of the rear lights are the main design difference between this and the concept. Personally I rate this car as Audi best looking and that includes the TT and R8.
