Valkyrie [Official] Aston Martin - From AM-RB 001 to Valkyrie

The Aston Martin Valkyrie (also known by its code-names as AM-RB 001 and Nebula) is a limited production hybrid sports car collaboratively built by Aston Martin, Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies, and several other parties. Production: November 2021 – December 2024.
they do have adjustable levels of adaptability, maybe this was driven not in full active mode, i do remember one review which included the step-up process to full attack mode and mentioned that it felt weird with full active suspension, i just can't remember which review it was
That might have been Harris.
I think Meaden did the best job describing the system out of his limited time with the car on that shitty track.

First time seeing these wheel covers (other than on configurator). Should have known that completely solid design was never going to work.

Looks like Top Gear had Stig set a bunch of laptimes on Dunsfold. One of them being a Valkyrie!
Not sure when the videos are dropping, but the hype is real with this one.

The other cars are:
992 GT3 RS
Atom 4R
Callum C-X75
Ford Supervan 4.2
Jesko Attack
Tuthill 911K

Finally!

For the record, some 4 years ago I predicted it would do 1:55.

1:56.42 is almost exactly the same as the best Q GT3 time, which is 1:56.48.

It is, of course, some way behind what they claimed. The best F1 Q lap is 1:24.3. The best LMP1 Q lap is 1:36.01. And the best LMP2 (which they claimed the Valkyrie could beat just on Cup 2 tires as recently as 2020) Q lap is 1:40.94. So, you know, only 16s behind the least daring claim they've made.

Still, it's 12s ahead of the 992.1 GT3RS, which is not too shabby. Also 13s ahead of the Senna (driven by Harris, on non-fresh tires, so not exactly a factory lap). So yeah, this is very likely the fastest road car we have right now, although that still doesn't make AM lies any less outrageous.

I also hope we get a full lap with telemetry at some point. And they tell us on what tires and in what config the car ran (I suspect Cup 2 Rs, but it's nice knowing for sure).

And the lies don't stop there. In the press release they claim 3.3 lateral g (lmao) and Michelin Cup 2.
And of course they couldn't pick optimal track conditions, so this is not even its true performance.
Valkyrie fans forever blue balled.

However, the car in the video clearly shows a Cup 2 R logo on the sidewall:

Seconded.

Oh my god. They are such complete slimeballs.
Seconded.
Yeah, now I am not sure about that. If they did that, then their own G meter would clearly show that the car never got nowhere near close to 3.3G (well, of course in that short preview it conveniently didn't have any numbers displayed - so perhaps they will just do that).
