those gills aft of the front wheel, while an improvement over the DB11's execution, still leave alot to be desired.
Funny thing is, they work better in real life than in photos. There's a three-dimensionality to the DB11 design which isn't as apparent in pics - in the flesh it's an absolute belter. No question - the DB11 did the DBS a massive favour by being the donor design.

This car is great, but Ferrari is in the other league.

How so, it's a bit quicker 0-100, and is about 1kph faster in top speed, for in gear accleration the Astons torques advantage makes it faster from 50mph to 100mph. It's swings and roundabouts, the Aston is also cheaper and IMO a lot better looking, it's a handsome brute of a car, the 812 is messy looking and overstyled. And 007 will probably drive it, he wouldnt be seen dead in a Ferrari :)

Repost? Sorry if so...

Aston Martin DBS Superleggera AMR To Add Even More Performance

Aston Martin has acknowledged that an even faster version of the potent DBS Superleggera should see the light of day.

Speaking to Australia’s Motoring during the recent global launch of the Ferrari 812 Superfast rival, an unnamed senior executive from the British marque said such a vehicle is probable.

“We produced an AMR version of the previous Vantage and have an AMR Rapide and DB11, so it’s safe to assume a DBS Superleggera is coming,” they said.

Isn't Ferrari coming out with a hybridized 812 replacement at Paris or Geneva? So far it looks like Aston does nearly everything the same as Ferrari only for less in price.

I see the DB11 every day and it's a nice car but a poor looking Aston.

Can Someone explain why a british sports car maker would use the name "DBS Superleggera"? It doesn't get more italian than Superleggera...

...and it doesn't get much more heavy than a DBS (real weight aprox 1800 kg), so this name is full of contradictions. Aston also used this name in the sixties (on the DB5 I think), I guess it sounds more exotic than "superlight"...

It was used by A-M's done by Zagatos in years past so A-M pretty much co-opted in the present. I think it's a bit silly.

A very good review of the DBS.

What do you get when cross Jim Jeffries and Ricky Gervais? This reviewer! And you know what? He's probably my new favorite reviewer.

Regarding the whole Ferrari vs. A-M, objectively the 812 and this are comparable. But there is one area the DBS does fall behind and it's the sound. It doesn't sound bad at all, in fact, there's a nice brutality to it. But it lacks that aural experience that you get in a high-revving NA V12, and if I was shopping in this price strata, that would be a big deal.

Also it seems they've addressed many shortcomings in the DB11 with this. One thing I could do with out is the boxy motif leather quilting, just too over the top.

I'm in Orlando - Lake Buena Vista area. Frikken hot here! Saw my first ever Z06 here as they don't come in RHD and hence never reach SA.

Ah that’s awesome dude. Enjoy... I’m born and raised in south Florida and am still not use to the heat.

I guess all that chatter about Cadillacs made you go to Florida* to see what all the fuss is about, huh? ;)

Stay cool and have a mojito or ten.

*For our international audience, the premise of the joke is that Florida is a popular spot for retirees, hence a hotbed of Cadillac ownership.
