The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a compact executive car produced by Alfa Romeo. Known internally as the Type 952, it was unveiled in June 2015, with market launch scheduled for February 2016, and it is the first saloon offered by Alfa Romeo after the production of the 159 ended in 2011.

BMW M3 :431 hp / 550 nm / 1.595 kg (manual ) /0-100km/h 4,1 sec (dual clutch)
Alfa Giulia:510 hp /600 nm / 1.525 kg (I suppose the manual version) /0-100 km/h 3,9.sec.
C63 S : 510 hp / 700 nm / > 1600 kg / 0-100 km/h 4.0 sec.
It seems that Giulia could be in the right direction and a serious contender for the other two..
Ps: I know that both M4 and C63 S were already tested and they are heavier. The same will happen for Giulia as usual so I just reported the official numbers taken by the respective websites.

Some things you have to share with old buddies.
You wouldn't see me posting here for anything less than this.
Today a forbidden dream came true for me. I never allowed myself to even think I would one day be telling my son or grandson for the day I saw my first brand new real Alfa on the road or the first drive in one... the way my father and grandfather could've told me many times. I cried for real. I feel better than on my birthday. Actually feel blessed. For any sissie finding a reason not to buy this car simply because it's out of their range I'd suggest visiting: www.sellmykidney.com heard they've got loads of traffic today so it might be a little slow but be patient - it's worth it!

While watching the unveiling video and listening to that song while the God of all proportions was approaching my ugly, glued to the monitor face...
I simply cried my soul out...
I simply cannot allow myself to think about this car again...not anytime soon as I'm left with no tears...
24th of June - A day to celebrate for any car enthusiast!
Welcome the original Sports Sedan back! Alfa is back!!!! I simply CANNOT believe that really happened. Couldn't believe all the rumors but they seem to be true.
Two letters are more than one - QV shits on M's face like it should.
German Alfa meet your daddy! While BMW is making another FWD breadvan
AR just released arguably the best sedan ever made... That alone feeds my ugly soul!
For anyone who knows even a tiny bit it should be clear it ain't solely design I'm talking about. Less than 3kg./HP power to weight ration... meaning 510HP and under 1530kg. curb weight... Hope that's true... even remotely true would do for me.
Give this car a dick as my ass is waiting far too long already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: That's The Original and of course you'll see BMW in it. I see Alfa in my favorite old Bimmers - one of the reasons I love them.
Giulia's design - Best of BMW, Maser, Ferrari and AR under the same roof executed almost perfectly. Not too fond of the headlights but they grew on me in about 5 minutes(never happened before with any car) Ohhh and that interior is simply to die for. Nothing compares.
But fcuk design - that's A CAR! Perfect timing too. We had to have a car in this class for car maniacs(not enthusiasts) and people that are after the freakin' joy(awful word) of driving!
Damn even the driving modes sound like they should...

Pardon my language but I'm fcukin in love with this car and anyone who doesn't like it can go fcuk their mother :)

Have they mentioned when they are going to release pics of the more "plebian" Giulias?

Also where's assembly going to take place?

Oh shit. Alfa is back. :D
Everything looks great.

I've been disappointed before, so let's wait until reviews start.
About the weight, doubt it's going to be lighter than the Maseratis, after all, they're priced above.

Yes, the interior is second rate. The buttons look cheap and the white printing on them look awful. Pre-production quality glitches? I'm not so sure.

The rear is too generic for me. Looks like a Mazda or other Asian car. The rest is pretty nice though.

Here's my wish what the base Giulia is offered in the U.S by summer of 2016, engine 1.8l turbo I4 , 235hp; base price $39K; EPA rating city/hwy : 25/35mpg. Performance: 0-60: 5.6s ;braking distance 60-0: 110ft. So, besides of reliability and quality, FCA has to sell it around $2K less than the C class or BMW 3er.

Fingers crossed that the plebeian version has a decent front and rear bumper design and looks good without hood scoops. It's s risky move by Alfa to present the top of the range version first.

Misty-eyed enthusiasm, maverickness (that's not a real word), early adopter, boldness and whatever other key tendencies required of a prospective Giulia there may be, foremostly one needs to be very brave to pay your money for this over a 3er, C-Class or even A4. As lovely as it may be. Just saying, not hatin' - I'm very happy that the world has an Alfa Romeo worth celebrating again. I just hope that it doesn't flop...
