4C [Official] Alfa Romeo 4C official

The Alfa Romeo 4C (Type 960) is a mid-engined sports car that was produced Alfa Romeo. Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the 4C was initially only available as a coupé, with a spider body style coming a few years later in 2015. The name 4C refers to its straight-four engine.
How much power will this thing have?

According to most reliable sources (not mine) it will make 240 PS. While the engine is basically the same as the one of the Giulietta QV, the engine is new, completely rebuilt, like BMW M's rebuilt V8 for M5/M6 and I6 for M3/M4. Down the road more powerful versions will be sold, making up to 275 PS, and probably even more.

Is it mid-engined and what about the price ?

Yes mid-engined, but I don't know if RMR-L or RMR-T. The chassis is made of CF, so don't expect it to be cheap as the GT86 (€ 30K) nor even as the S2000 (€ 40K), but more in line with a Cayman (€ 50-60K). If you'd wish the 3.0l V6 making 410 PS expect another € 40K bump, that is what the GranSport should be like.

I was just about to post them.

Too bad it does not come as manual. Such a waste IMO. I guess it much be some technical complications. The engine is mounted transversely?

Otherwise, it looks like the first mass produced CF non-exotic car does not come from BMW but from Alfa Romeo.

The interior looks cheap and cheerful and lacking in headroom and leg room. The seat backrests are so upright it's not funny!

It does look like a mini Ferrari. Still can't get over those headlights though.

On the dedicated website they mention less than 4kg/hp ratio, so I think you're right... 240 hp and about 900 kg?

From the last pics you can tell that the CF is executed cheaply though it really is the benchmark in this class :)
It won't be cheap - meaning it won't be seen in my garage. A car with plastic headlights should be cheap no matter how good and exotic it is IMO :D I'll wait for the first comparison tests against the Cayman/S for final decision :)

Interior lookis cheap and poorly designed, but hey it will probably drive great and it opens the door for Alfa in this country again.

we don't have alfa dealer in UAE. Wonder why and if this model is coming, it would be interesting in few years to have one 2nd hand.

The side yellow blinkers/markers on the wheel arches are a must for the USA, aren't they?

On the front, yes. Don't think it is required in the rear. But they are not strict about it - lot of people replace it with clear markers or just paint over it. Worst is when manufacturers integrate into the headlights and you are stuck with it unless you import 'euro headlights'.

I know Sunny friend, my point is they are aiming at the USA with the model..... so finally Alfa will be back to the States :)
