I think they turned it from a "tool" into a "cute SAV" thingy, at least design-wise. I'm obviously not familiar with its size or market placement, but still, it's a huge turn in design direction.

Was this humor or were you saying this seriously? They do not share parts, just two design flourishes that ended up looking a bit similar.

A lot brands share the suppliers though, which appears to why so many parts of economy cars have styling elements that looks similar (e.g free standing infotainment screens).
