I know this car is in the wrong section, but why didn't the cayenne turbo/turbo s and gts get this engine instead? The best part starts at 1:00.

TOPCAR unveils their Vantage GOLD Porsche Cayenne Turbo, costs €180,000

Russian tuner TOPCAR has applied a gold theme on a modified Porsche Cayenne Turbo facelift.

The car is actually for sale at €180,000 (plus VAT) and in return you’ll get a flashy high-performance SUV with numerous carbon fiber bits and pieces such as the hood, front and rear spoilers, side skirts and rear diffuser - all of which can be painted in any color or with a lacquered carbon finish. They say the new look emphasizes the owner’s “high status and a taste for luxury”, but certainly many people will disagree with this statement as the Cayenne now stands more than it should. This striking appearance is also accentuated by the massive 22-inch carbon gray set from ADV.1 Wheels.

It wouldn’t be a complete tuning package if this Cayenne lacked an upgrade in the engine department and in this case the V8 bi-turbo 4.8-liter engine has been massaged to deliver an extra 80 PS (59 kW) for a grand total of 600 PS (441 kW). There’s no word regarding performances, but it should be a tad quicker than a standard Cayenne Turbo which runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 173 mph (279 km/h).

This isn’t actually TOPCAR’s first stab at modifying the facelifted Cayenne Turbo as earlier this year they applied silver and all-black treatments on Stuttgart’s powerful SUV.

It will look even more hot if it didn't have the black bonnet, black vantage stripe on boot lid and was a different colour than gold.

Porsche updates Cayenne for 2017MY

Following the introduction of the new entry-level Macan with a turbo'd four-banger, Porsche has announced some updates for its largest SUV too, the Cayenne.
First introduced in the facelifted 911 (991 II) and offered as standard across the range, the new-generation of the brand's PCM (Porsche Communication Management) infotainment system has arrived on the Cayenne and it's offered at no extra cost, working together with a high-res 7-inch touchscreen.

Porsche claims the redesigned user interface is "smartphone-like" and "enables operation that is intuitive". The relevant menu contents, which can be controlled by the driver using multi-touch gestures, are shown when the proximity sensor detects a user input.

Bluetooth, USB and SD card interfaces are available and so is the Apple CarPlay connectivity. There is also a new navigation model, offered as standard, which promises high-res map display and 3D representations in some regions; this can be started using voice control.

Coming at an extra cost is the Connect Plus module, which improves dynamic orientation with real-time traffic info. Google Street View, Google Earth, new Porsche Connect App, Wi-Fi hotspot and the familiar Car Connect App are found on the 2017 Cayenne too.

$310,000. Every possible option selected and PTS metallic Tiffany blue. Ridiculous.

Matching Turbo S for sale with a MSRP of $329,000, which makes it the highest MSRP 911 ever in the US.

Finally get a chance to drive the Cayenne Diesel, this is the run out "Platinum" Edition. I have never been a fan of this SUV, mainly because of the way it looks and the fact that it is a shameless money grab from Porsche.

However, after the drive...I am genuinely surprised by how well it handled. The steering is direct, there is no slack just off dead center (Unlike the Macan), the throttle and engine is responsive, performance is adequate for such a large vehicle. The ride comfort was a bit unsettled at times but it is an acceptable trade off for the tight handling. It drove much better than the GLE, and felt more sporty than even the SQ7. Overall refinement is fine but I could hear a little more road noise than say the Mercedes or Audi.

It is good.....probably good enough for me to consider getting one in the future.
