A question to you americans guys. Do you use simcards over there? I'm asking becasue I took a look at my sister's phone from america and when the battery is removed ther isn't a slot for a sim card whoch means that her phone is and will always be locked to one carrier. I'm planning on picking up a phone tomorrow and wonder if there are pre-paid simcards on the other side of the atlantic.

Yes we use SIM cards now in the US. About 2 years ago we didn't but now most if not all phones have a si card slot unless it is an old phone or old technology.

i asked this question a while back but i got no responces so im going to ask it again. I am getting a new phone in about a month and i am thinking of going with a samsung d807 (a slider phone) does anyone have any issues with samsung that i need to know about. I will only be using it for calls not mp3 etc.

No mp3's, that's good, because samsung suck at that. It's personal though. I think samsung makes some of the most beautiful phones on the market. Their sliders are very nice.
But I have some problems with them, if you have fat chubby sausage fingers like me, no can do. The menu's aren't as intuïtive as other brands.

So it depends.

On a side note, almost died 2 weeks ago, I dropped the HTC. Nasty scratch and little dent on the side. First scratches always hurt. I'm over it now, but at the moment, it felt like somebody ripped out my hart, filled it with broken glass, and put it back. I wasn't in a happy place if you catch my drift :eusa_doh:

Thanks, i have some pretty skinny tiny fingers so it may be alrite for me. Well as long as theres no horrible problems with there phones im going to go with it and if there menu's arent as intuitive well i can live with that. This first scratches always hurt i remeber when i first got my razr some stupid girl dropped my phone on concrete and that left an ugly mark.

I can relate, I have a Pocket PC and soon as I get the least little mark on it I break it so I can get it replaced!:D

haha yes its very hard getting marks on our toys. The first year of having the razr i went through 6 different ones because it kept on breaking and since it was covered by warenty they were all free. Thats one reason i choose to upgrade from the razr to something else instead of getting a new one was becasue i was just fed up with them and their problems.

I'm using a Nokia 6210! It is the best mobile phone in the world! :D
I don't need a camera or MP3 Player on my mobile phone.

ok guys my phone is up for an upgrade in about 10 days and i had decided i was going to get the samsung d807 but recently i have seen the blackberry pearl and have just loved it. A blackberry to me is very e-mail processing based, I don't really want that. The Samsung seems like a better deal. :usa7uh:
