X3/X4 Next X3: Spyshots & CGIs

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
....you would be looking at the first interior pic's of the 2nd Gen X3.:D Maybe next time.:usa7uh: Thanks. PalBay PS..Thanks for the nice comments!!!

Considering how much of a big deal it would be to capture the first interior photos of the upcoming X3, I would have risked the interrogation by the men in black suits and dark sunglasses to get a quick shot or two. :icon_cool

What on earth was the car doing at a day-care center? BMW trying to gauge the soccer-mom appeal of the new X3's size and shape? :t-hihi:

Sorry about the interior shots. The car was parked at a day care for very young kids. Some people/parents get very nervous/suspicious when a stranger hops out of a car at a daycare and starts shooting pic's.Just did not want to risk creating a scene.Had the car been parked in a grocery store/mall parking lot....you would be looking at the first interior pic's of the 2nd Gen X3.:D Maybe next time.:usa7uh: Thanks. Thinking about that, it's freaking pathetic how good the U.S government is in creating fear among it's citizens. Amazing.
I'm sure you had the NYC X3 in mind, where the retard police had to smash a window of a prototype car because some retard lady thinks it's a bomb car.

As for the pics, 'job' well done Palbay. Great shots of what will be a GREAT looking car. Possibly the best looking SUV on the market in not too long.

doesn't BMW usually present their cars on a thursday?

I think todays in german, Thursday is written M-O-N-D-A-Y... what a suprise will you all reply me.. :D

well scott, this time you really played with us ala Alfred Hitchcock.

Thx PalBay for the pic of the silver grey, look very promising. Have you really taken no pic of the interior? Or have you been asked to not post them until the official presentation?

Got no interior pic's:t-hands:.I have found the interior spy shot pic's the most difficult to execute. The early stage test mules are always rolling...very difficult to find them parked/stationary....and unattended. The test mules around here (Spartanburg Plant) are generally not driven home by the Test Engineers ( my percentages go up for interior shots at that point in time) until after the Web reveal. At that point the interior shots are of little spy value.Maybe some RLP (Real Life Photo's) but that would be about it.Thanks. PalBay

Real world testing by BMW employees. No seriously :)

That appears to be a very pleasing colour, Silverstone II?

Blue water metallic. Same color as the X6 and 7er hybrids

You also have to consider the fact that most still have cover around the dashboard. I'm personally a fan of the interior though :D

I thought it might be either Bluewater or Titan Silver but you have confirmed it as Blue Water , incidentally Blue Water was available when the E83 X3 was introduced as well.

@ warot
Is that Special order Interlagos Blue X5M ready yet?

Looking at these last pictures, it is clear to me that the X3 is the BMW truck to have. That colour is great, by the way.

There is a lot of surface on this new X3 far more than the flat like appearance of the E83 so very light metallics work especially well so you can see every line , every curve and every sculpt of the body work.
The wheels on option reflect the latest update of the X5 , overly sporty and evolutionary ideas reimagined from the very beginnings of the X-Line.

What I like about this car is that it appears more athletic and more toned than the E83 you can see how broad it has become.
In the original brief the designers were asked not to stray too far from the original concept because customers loved it's highly individual more "active" looking exterior compared to the luxury settings of the X5.
X3 was a Sport Activity Vehicle that was "Used" more rather than the X5 in regards to it's requirements.

Dear Scott, there´s just one question remaining: When are we finally going to see the official pics of that car? :eusa_pray
Best regards, Swingfan

Women will appreciate that colour as a worthy alternative to the overly popular shade of white seen on every other Q5 and GLK.

I believe you buddy...but what could they be testing at a day-care center? To my knowledge, there's nothing unique or specific about the roads, driveways and parking lots of a day-car center that would warrant 'real-world testing'.

Or are they simply following the most likely uses of the car rather than simply driving down random streets ?

:t-hands:

The BMW employee's/engineer's drive the late stage prototypes just like a real world potential BMW customer would...which could include stops at the grocery store, mall, soccer field and yes to pickup kids at the daycare. The drivers of the prototypes are required to keep logs and record any issues/problems that could be fixed prior to series production starting.Thanks. :usa7uh: PalBay
