GL-Class (X166) Next Generation GL-Class (Spy Pics, Renderings, and Info)

I won't lie. This is looking pretty damn good. But another good thing about this is that when this finally comes out, the current GL will fall in value. THEN, I will try to convince my folks that it's about time they dump our nearly 10yo Honda Odyssey and buy a used GL. Saw a GL450 4-Matic w/ AMG kit while in Seattle...DROOLED.

Fortunately for me, the GL already sucks and is worthless from the brand to my eyes, so this could look like dog doo doo and it won't sway my views on M-B one way or another.

The ML is the first one that I actually kind of/sort of like, so I guess they're already up a tick.

The pontoon line doesn't appear to be as pronounced as on some of the earlier shots.
White LED light bands rise from the bottom of the headlamp cluster before they curl round the top end of the BiXenon lens.

The new generation GL Class comes before a new generation R Class? How is the market with the GL? It should mainly work in the US, not EU. How are the sales compared to Range Rover?

It`s so easy to keep pace with the coming GL. -bit by bit it is coming out of it`s shell. Love the more upright looking (nose) profile compared to the previous version. Sleeker-roofline, shorter overhangs and beefed up hood compared to the outgoing model. Huge improvements in design work. You can`t tell me this ain`t gonna be hot because it is!!

(This is nothing like the S-Class. We havn`t herd or seen anything new from him in months.)

I doubt it. I recall TennMB once saying there won't be a replacement. Plus if there was a replacement, it would be out on the road already. Last time the GL and R were doing the testing together. And don't forget that MB gave the R a big facelift to milk it a little more before they cancel it.

Can you please direct me to the photos of the interior? I've read from page 11 to now and there is not 1 picture of an interior shot. I'm really starting to get tired of all these "It looks hideous" "Looks basic" comments when people haven't even seen the interior. You need to have something to base your judgement on. So please, if there is a picture in this thread, link me to it or direct me to the picture that is leading you to such an assumption.

Certain exterior shots of the car show certain pieces of the interior, like the center air vents which are exactly like the ML.

The biggest improvement in this picture might be the clamshell hood design, which extends the lower window line all the way to the nose. Huge improvement imo!!

Certain exterior shots of the car show certain pieces of the interior, like the center air vents which are exactly like the ML.

So we are now judging how the interior of a car will look based on air vents......O boy. I'll just leave it there. Also, You really can't see anything off those spy shots. If anything, the last picture that Shining Star so graciously posted gives more detail on what the interior will look like then the spy shots do.
