CLK-Class (C209) Next generation CLK (spy pics, CGIs, info)

The Mercedes-Benz C209 is the second generation CLK-Class, launched in 2002. The car was available in both hardtop coupé (C209) and in soft-top convertible (A209). Although its design and styling was derived from the E-Class, the mechanical underpinnings were based on the smaller C-Class. It was succeeded by the E-Class C207. Production: 2001–2009.
It looking really good and nice to see more camo come off.
Well we can see thet it has parst off the e and c in the interior the air vents are put in the opposite way to the e class. The arm rest it looks is from the c which i dont like a lot becuase its to hard the arm rest should be a bit softer maybe the clk one will be bit softer i hope so.i like the centre console got a nice look and if built like the c it should be awesome.I also like those climate control buttons better then the round knob in the c.overall it looks a very upmarket interior so far also thats a very chunky steering wheel for mb.

on the exterior it seems the front lights are very much like the e but it is designed more curvy and not as squarish as the e class it seems that way to me.Its a pity this care wont come with a folding hard top if it was then this would have been my next car..........

I really like the looks, but i am dissapointed by the interior! I would like it to be more inspiring

Yeah, I am no fan of the interior styling too. It's too 'pointy' so to speak for my taste.
But, at least it's a lot better than the C-class already. Much better without that ugly pop up screen.

In 2009 Mercedes will launch a successor to the Mercedes CLK which Daimler will move up a notch to the E-Class level. The underpinnings will still be provided by the current generation C-Class, but with a style reflecting very much the new E-Class. We will see a preview of this styling in person in just a few weeks when Mercedes unveil the ConceptFASCINATION. The new direction of its coupe is an attempt by Mercedes to return the E-Class to the legendary status once achieved by the W124 E-Class generation.

^damn that looks very very good..
Somehow im not concerned about the rear in this car..but in the E i am
..

Not impressed by the interior though, but will wait on giving it a final opinion until I see official photos.

^^^^^^^ That's the rumor... We won't know fur sure though, till it's debut I guess... I hope that if there is a name change, the price doesn't go up too much because it is based on the C class.

To name it an E, despite being based on a C, gives MB the opportunity to really make a profit on this model....

It kind of reminds me of the E92... Not completely, but I can see some scant similarities. Not that I care because that is the perfect design for MB to use as the bench mark for its design.

This car is looking great!!!

Good Chop...found it in E90post(y)

wow those latest pics look hot hot hot...
If it turns out something like that it will be awesome.....

Yeah me likes that :D.. that front looks hot
and the whole profile of the car is very nice
it will be something very diffrent to the competitions 3er coupe or A5.. wich both are very traditionall... especially the BMW

It would have been nice if they had tapered the trunk to a point where it meets the bumper, and continue it through the bumper as this cgi and the concept does, but this spy pic indicates that is just not the case.

i really like the spoiler lip this cgi incorporates. Maybe MB needs a little help.

Could you please explain that a bit better??? I'm not sure what you mean...
