CLK-Class (C209) Next generation CLK (spy pics, CGIs, info)

The Mercedes-Benz C209 is the second generation CLK-Class, launched in 2002. The car was available in both hardtop coupé (C209) and in soft-top convertible (A209). Although its design and styling was derived from the E-Class, the mechanical underpinnings were based on the smaller C-Class. It was succeeded by the E-Class C207. Production: 2001–2009.
Shouldn't the CLK be out this year? At least shown this year! :t-hands: There's not much tape left on it. There seems to be too much of a gap between the C launch and CLK.

I thought the C-class came out early because of the ultra competitive segment it was in and they couldn't really wait. So I don't think they have to worry as much with the E-class and CLK launching sooner then later because the markets don't seem to be as saturated; sales must be decent enough too.

Last report was that the CLK was being kicked around by the 3 coupe and A5 and MB was trying to get it to market ASAP. 2009 seems late then. :eusa_thin

I really doub about the new Mercedes interior desing, what we are seeing of this new CLK and the new E is so ugly. What has happened with that beautifull steering wheels?, Are they goona be now raquitic like C class one?.

My 2004 E Class interior look much nicer than this ugly desing.

this is all the same spy photos, i personally thinking the new generation MB CLK will be mix of new C - classe a lot cause this is all the same a coupe of C class, and more sport elements of the TOP model for me by MB - CL
But really i haven't got a patience to see that vehicle in it's serial model :)

Looks nice, especially the interior. I think the instrument cluster looks the same as the one on the C 63 AMG. Sporty idea!;)

Do you guys think that's the actual shape of the rear window or camo? I would be so bummed if that's the actual window. If it is, maybe it will make more sense once the camo comes off the rest of the car? :eusa_pray

Looks very good - I love the new "Thermotronic" control!

Yeh, finally a clearer shot of the new air-con controls! :usa7uh: E-Class will probably get the same controls. They look like modified versions of those in the S and CL.
