Hot! News and rumors about Alpina

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
Yeah BMW bought them to make more money, not to keep doing what they were already doing. I was sad the second this deal was announced because it was clear what it would lead to.
Don't you think it's the other way around, after what they've done with their other two acquired brands?
With Mini and Rolls-Royce, they've proven to be better than anyone else in the industry when it comes to reviving two of the most iconic brands. It's nothing short of a miracle to see their models, where they've positioned them, and how they manage them. For that reason, they have my complete confidence until we see what they have planned for Alpina. We'll find out soon...

The Vision BMW ALPINA is to be presented on May 15th

Thread for the Alpina Vision is open

I am very excited to see this new Vision Alpina!. Hopefully a production version will follow soon.
It will have to. There is serious capital behind Alpina. You will know if they are serious if an additional variant appears as a concept.
If it’s a coupe as rumoured to be, then a cabrio would be a good follow up. They might even go for a five door, give it rear suicide doors or even rear Gull wing doors?🤔😋 Cross-Pollination is very much in favour.
You now get 4 exhaust, CFRP roof etc on M Performance cars. Suicide doors could work on an Alpina?

Financial or Emotional, because so far the visible element of BMWs investment has been in marketing only, and funding an internal design competition for a Vision car doesn't amount to much.

I would say emotional. But you can’t reach new heights without the financial backing.
They always said that the Alpina under BMW would concentrate on the Grand-Klasse luxury segment so that would mean to also investigate bespoke options, which we now see evidence of where they want to take the brand.
I still maintain had everything been in place. Skytop and Speedtop would be Alpina’s.

What's absurd about this? A Reddit link has been shared where this design is shown. Who taught you my name? I think something is going on behind the scenes.😆

Who taught you my name?

You did. I don't use instagram, so everytime you spammed the forum with an insta link dump it asked me if I want to follow you on Insta - in the hope I'd create an account. This is true of everyone that posts insta links on the forum - I assumed Instagram users knew this.

"From the shadows of the Alps"

That's an epic slogan if I may say so. They should keep it, together with that high Alps vibe they've got going.
Just a shame the French Alpine is doing something similar lately in their media output......

Also, this comes to mind when I see that silhouette. Like, a proper 7er coupe:

A modern day version of this would be more than welcome.....minus the V12 I guess....

Apparently everything I do bothers you.🤣

Many people lept to your defence when you were banned, citing your positive contributions to the forum... I'm all good with that, that's a great thing, I'm a BMW enthusiast, historian, and fanboi, I get it. However, you seem to gain pleasure not just from being a Mercedes fan, but also from creating friction in the forum - there is no question about this - which I'm tired of, and I don't think I'm out of order saying the moderation team is tired of also... you're not an idiot, you should keep what I've said in mind.
