X5 New X5 E70 spy pictures (and videos) - part 2

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

wow gr8.. so lets wait and see.. im sure we will be amongst the first to know:D

I am not as thrilled BMW usually makes me.I was expecting something better.Current X5 looks better and all of her rivals are more beautiful.

I love the front bumper, it looks so muscular. Can't wait to see the 3.8i version with the 22 inch factory rims. :icondrool

This one is closer to the real deal than the Lehmann's PS although the upper line of headlight cluster is not so straight horizontal, but slightly more diagonal:

They made all the right modifications to a winning design for an all new model. I love how the kidney grills have been enlarged to aid the presence of the new car, as well as the exhaust coming out through the black diffuser at the rear. Say hello to my favorite SUV.:t-cheers:

That PS looks a lot better, glad that it's closer to the real thing!

It looks very aggressive, nice how they have updated the old design!

They seem to be the same pictures as posted above!

Seems interesting it says an M version could be in the pipeline, I can't see how that would be true!

Wich means it'll look even more agressive than in that pic - and i'm  :eusa_danc  about that!

:t-cheers:

I haven't seen those before, thanks for posting!

Annoying that they covered the dash with a towel, but great shoots!

Are those the third row of seats I see in the first picture?

Like I said many times before: the car looks extremely aggressive. Especially looking from front & side. Back is nothing special - but looks low & wide due to huge rear lights & CELIS LED stripes.

Again: Q7 looks tame comparing to E70. While looking like a mini-bus from the side, as a van from the back, Q7 has a very significant front. But it can't be said its aggressive, but - like Germans say - "wuchtig". It can be translated as mighty or colossal. Like a locomotive.

E70 on the other looks aggressive - like a predator. E70 will possess same aggressivenss as E60 5er.

Wait to see press photos at least and you won't be disappointed. I hope they will get them right - like they lately do (Z4 coupe & 3er coupe).

Watch the lamps at the mules!they are simular to the 3 series coupe and sedan and revised 7 series. The article says that the car will be equipped with evolved x drive, night vision and radar governed cruise control.

Looking good. Needs a bit more agression though, and it seems the real thing will have it in spades.

I hope the interior quality is up to scratch.

I'll say it anyway despite a promise of being quiet:

I talked to a Hella guy about BMW light tech (the ones with a good memory should remember the background) today.

I was told upcoming BMW cars would come with a new CELIS LED features - something regarding daytime lights and blinkers. He did not want to be more specific.

I asked him whether X5 would bring some of the new lighting tech, and he just grinned but said nothing.

I just took that as 'yes'.

So, E70's daytime light feature will be similar to the E92 feature = stronger "angel eye".

The blinker thing on E70: (CELIS) LED blinkers. Imagine a CELIS tube in blinker. We shall see. :usa7uh:

PS: I've been told before that FL 5er will also feature some new lighting tech. :t-hands:

"7" yea... we've had the discussion before and sources say that there is an optional 3rd row seat. But as you can see, it will only be big enough for children.

I guess Im way to late with that info...sry. I always though they were going to make an X7 to carry 7 passengers but I guess they feel that two SAVs is enough.
