S40/V40/V50 New Volvo S40 and V50 Facelifts Revealed

The Volvo S40 is a series of subcompact executive cars marketed and produced by the Swedish manufacturer Volvo Cars from 1995 to 2012, offered as a more mainstream alternative to the compact executive Volvo 850 and later the Volvo S60 to compete in a lower pricing bracket. The S40 was more or less positioned against premium-leaning small family cars like the Volkswagen Jetta as well as some mass-market large family cars.
That wood is definitely an acquired taste!

Is it real wood or plastic wood? I think the S40,V50 are decent small cars for normal city driving, but it really lack that sporting edge to make this car attractive.

Very nice improvement, the V50 even looks a bit yummie. The interior incombo is horrible though. One thing I don't understand is why it always take ages for the dudes over at Volvo to figure out that black cladding makes their cars look horrible.

the Faceligt is awesome IMHO, pcks up the car well, Although i will take a Chrome Interior....!!!

Is it real wood or plastic wood?

I dunno, but just looking it makes me think it is real, the untreated/matte finish type. Though that type of wood seems a little bit much for a car like the S40 and the segment it competes in.

It is a decent facelift... But what I like is the interior. So minimalist, it certainly takes some stress of driving IMO. Everything's so clear and simple.
