EX90 The new, fully electric Volvo EX90: the start of a new era for Volvo Cars

The Volvo EX90 is a battery electric full-size luxury crossover SUV produced by Volvo since May 2024. A seven-seater luxury car, it is Volvo's flagship full-size SUV. It was revealed in November 2022 as the first bespoke electric vehicle marketed under the Volvo brand.
€100,000 "flagship" EV with 112mph top speed?

No thanks!

That's becoming the new normal, besides Volvo announced that this would be the top speed for all there vehicles some time ago.

In the real world how often do people exceed this speed, unless you're a getaway driver or live in Germany??

The two screen layout is a straight copy of the Ford Mustang and the taillights have more then a whiff of full size Range Rover.

Have to say I'm a tad disappointed in this.

Nice and clean. Just like the Range Rover. The design language is the opposite of German car lately. More physical buttons would make this a perfect interior.

For a Volvo the design lacks warmth and a sprinkle of fun. Make no mistake though, it could easily have been an ugly SUV but it’s not.

Never did I expect there to be a Volvo that cost as much as an equivalent Porsche. In the UK, the new XC90 cost as much as a Tycan 4 Turismo.

Still find the current XC90's interior and exterior to be superior, but I like this almost as much. Front is too innocuous and bland.

What a Joke. £100,000 car and you are struggling to add CarPlay for launch whilst my 2006 Merc has Carplay through a $160 head unit from aliexpress. Always buy products for what they are, not for what they could be. There are no guarantees as to when CarPlay will be added and whether it will work flawlessly. Volvo are having big issues with the EX30 that has resulted in customers handing their cars back.

It’s a good looking car. But, like all other EV, overpriced. I think BEV would have a better market chance, if they were 25% or more less expensive than their ICE counterparts.
In this case, sad thing is there‘s no XC90 ICE available anymore.

It is wild that at £96k a Volvo SUV is more expensive than a £93k Cayenne S E-Hybrid or matches a £96k Taycan 4S Sport Turismo. The Porsche does 0-62mph in 3.6sec.

The EX90 is good looking but Volvo are pushing it on price. I have seen the Kia EV9 in person and it’s stunning, offers lots of clever features for 30% less.

The EX90 is continuing with its starting problems. This is not looking good.
Software engineering is hard and is becoming increasingly more plex because of cloud enabled features and bloat. Most individuals and businesses underestimate the effort required to achieve production grade quality.

If it takes you 3 years to R&D software, budget the exact amount of time for bug fixes and optimisation.
