2025 Volvo ES90

A bit of vertical mass reducing sectioning of the body and a slight increase in rear overhang could make a mighty nice, somewhat more athletic sedan. I like the ES90. But it is more of a crossover rather than a sedan.
It’s got semi-commanding driving position not unlike the original F07 BMW 5er Gran Turismo.
It’s good to see that concepts that had poor receptions being re-imagined for the era of the EV.
An EV 5er Gran Tourismo would probably work within BMWs favour today.

True it reminds of the 5-serie GT, a relaxed long cruiser. A beautiful car inside and out and no better way to go on a long trip. A station wagon would be nice.

I really don’t know what a Volvo is anymore.

Hasn't it always been the VW of Scandinavia and isn't that what they still are today? Strong focus on safety, ergonomic seats, neutral design and a premium badge that doesn't shout "I'm capitalist who's unjustifiably earning more than others".

I understand what you mean, I feel the Volvo ES90 and Polstar 2 models are converging in styling. Not sure this is a good idea as one of them will fade away. They should be alot more different and have unique styling.

Yeah the styling could be more differentiated, Like VW and Cupra models. They share underpinnings, different handling/comfort balance but look very different.

It's almost SUV/Sedan thingy. Volvo is just plain weird and they were one of the most staid brands around just a few years ago.

This car is weird.

The trunk is a joke as is the seating position in the back.( you’re basically sitting on the floor) reminds me of the model S.

The front seats are very comfortable and the materials are fine.

I only sat in it.

We will never see it here.

That depends If Volvo decides to build it in the USA, basically there’s a EX90 underneath.

I could imagine some crazy MIT professors lusting after that car, because they saw it in Europe.

It’s seriously flawed, but according to the press really smooth, probably the softest Volvo ever build.

The design is a little strange, especially the rear, but it’s good looking and have presence. I haven’t driven it, but sat in it a couple of times. Very nice interior. The floor in the back is high, so seating position is not the best, as is the case with many EV’s. But a lot of space for the legs. I would reduce leg space rear and give more space to the boot, because it is not huge for a car this big. I would also like to see a station wagon, this would differiate it more from Polestar, and Volvo and station wagon just belong together. The reviews I have read are good, a very comfortable car.
