OT: Tycoon, cool, didn't know you guys have a Golf Sportline TDI. Manual or DSG? They don't come here standard, but I'm thinking it would be a bit less of a attention-gatherer than a Golf GTI, and I like the idea of the DSG (manual is out of the question, girlfriend can't drive manual, it could become a 'family car' sooner or later..

). Shamefully, the 2.0FSI Sportline with conventional 6-speed auto gets worse official fuel economy figures than the GTI with DSG (8.5 vs. 8.0).

Anyhow, I don't really like this 207. It looks somewhat like the 206, which IMO isn't a bad thing - you don't want to alienate all your old customers by making their cars date too much. However, that grille is horrible - that red car looks like it's got a grinning mouth full of braces. The 'up spec' bumper also looks worse than the low spec one, IMO, due to the lack/presence of the corner rubbing strip, as well as the placement and detailing of the foglights, and not to mention the braces.
Those wheel arches are confusing me, in some pictures they're ok, but on some they look very odd. Overall, the shape is ok, but nothing spectacular. I prefer the detailing of the new Clio more. Still, although they do look similar, the Clio comes from Renault.. which is unrelated.. and the 207 shares the C3's platform.
As for interior, I like the subdued style more. It suits me better than Citroen's C4's pseudo futuristic pastiche. Hopefully they can get the ergonomics and build quality right as well.
Then again, I'm not going to complain too much. I'm not in the market for this car anyway - I have a certain distrust of French cars. I've heard one too many stories to bother, and especially not when there are enough good alternatives. The interiors have a little more flair/smart design touches than Korean or some Japanese, and sometimes they're competitive on paper and sometimes even in price, but I couldn't really bring myself to actually buy one.
