New Lexus sports car in the works? (Teaser concept image inside)

Road and track has full pictures of the concept.

It looks like a rebodied original LFA concept. It could be the next SC:

We're still a couple weeks away from the Detroit Auto Show, but the Lexus LF-Lc concept has leaked thanks to the crew at Road & Track and their YouTube account.

We still don't know much about Lexus' Detroit-bound concept, but the swoopy coupe combines some of the more emotive elements of the LFA, along with the grille of the LF-Gh concept that eventually formed the basis of the Lexus GS. The massively elongated hood terminates with headlamps that plummet deep into the air intakes and a more extreme grille than that found on the Predator-esque fascia of the Gh.

With an "Lc" designation, this could signal Lexus' intention of building an LS-based coupe to take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz SL, but until the official curtains are pulled in Detroit, we'll have to wait and see

This is definitely the preview of the new Lexus SC. It is more like the original SC 300 (NA 3.0l I6) / SC 400 (NA 4.0l V8) (Z30) that was a 4 seater coupé rather than the SC 430 (NA 4.3l V8) (Z40) that was a 2 seater coupé convertible. From this pic however it looks more like a 2+2 seater coupé (SC) rather than a 4 seater coupé (IS Coupé), and this is good, because I really like the SC (Z30). Can't wait for engine specs. I so much wish is was a sporty, more practical and cheaper LFA.

Toyota FT-HS Concept + Lexus LF-A Concept + Lexus LF-Gh Concept = Lexus LF-Lc Concept

I love it. It just looks too good to be a another hybrid instead of a 911 and R8 competitor.

Sidenote: The concept color is red. Toyota uses red color on concept car for sportscars. So this can very well be a true sportscar.

Looks good from some angles (side profile), very weird and over styled from others (front, 3/4). If it's really a hybrid then I couldn't care less. If it's a high revving V8 NA I like it :D

Yeah, seems like a recycled design based of the LFA concept.

So with a hybrid option, could this also be aimed at the BMW i8 / Porsche 918?

Afterall this is only a concept, so anything can happen. Just look at its concept name and in it you can something hidden: Lexus LF-LC Sport Coupe Concept. I just wish it happens the way I want: 2+2, NA H/R V8, RWD :eusa_pray

PS: 265/35 R 21 tires all round.

OMG!!!

Who could ever think that Lexus could build the world's best supercar? (LF-A)
Even more so, who could ever think a Lexus could be called beautiful? (LF-LC)

Dare I say this thing looks better than a Mercedes SL (R231), than a BMW 6 Series GranCoupé (F08) and than a Porsche 911 (991)? Yes I defintely do. I wish it made it so into production with an LFA worthy NA V8 engine!

Agree, great looking car. Now we start the waiting game regarding the drive train...........

It's no less gorgeous than the LF-A Concept which disappointingly the production car didn't stay true to with the exception of the chassi and internals.
