I chose the a4...but which a4 are we on about???? If it was the 3.0 tdi quattro in the new shape id have that:D

C-Class for me for sure!!

3er may be the bench mark car in this class but its been out for a while and I still don't like the look of it.

The new A4 looks like a FL and not a new model but thats not to say it doesn't look good.

However, the C, IMO, looks the best, the quality of the interior, whilst not Audi like, is still pretty darn good and it's a more sportier car than the W203 whilst it hasn't lost any of the Benz comfort.

A4 has the better interior, BMW has the better performance and Merc better looks (but only with Avangarde trim)

But performance is more important to me than looks - and the 335 has the other 2 licked in that department - so pretty easy choice for me.

I have to say I'm a bit surprised by the margin by which the A4 was left last in this poll. I can't fault people for voting for the C-class, given that it's a new and accomplished and all that, but what I find surprising is that the people who disliked the previous A4 for being 'old' now seem to find perfectly good excuses to vote for the oldest car of the bunch...

My vote goes to the A4. I still don't like the looks of the Bimmer, and while I'd be perfectly happy with a C-Class I'd still prefer the Audi, given the choice.

I think most people have expectations of one particular car for other cars, and in this segment the Audi is the underdog, not the least for it's image but more so for street cred, which in the end is what sells these cars. With the B8 who knows what will change, but it will take more than what we can physically see to do so. In truth, I will always believe the 3er is the top of the entry compact lux sedan catergory, there's still nothing that quite matches the car for pure driving fun. It's talents are far more than you could experience in a test drive. Afterall, there's a reason people auto-cross your garden variety 3er sedan.

who says the a4 doesnt perform well??:t-cheers:

I'll take a C350.

Got the opportunity to see a white Avantgarde C300 at the local MB dealership last weekend and was throughly impressed by it's presence and improvement over the W203. Good looking little car it is, although I would still contest that the car's rear-end is a little short. Additionally, the bootlid could use some sort of lip spoiler (something which is obviously standard on the C63 AMG and improves the styling balance of the rear-end). Overall, I firmly believe it'd be the car I would be the most happy with.

While I haven't any doubts of the A4's greatness (and do have an appreciation for it), I find myself less impressed with the overall package when compared with that of the C-Class. Admittedly though, I much prefer the interior of the B8 to either the BM or the MB; it's manages to be styled (and I'm guessing -based on previous Audi's - most probably assembled) in a manor which is reminscent to a larger, and ultimately more expensive automobile than what the A4 really is.

The 3er, as good as it may be, wouldn't even be a consideration for me. Or at least until they change those tail lights which I absolutely despise. I haven't any complaints about the coupe though, but as we aren't talking about coupes...

Can't go wrong with any of the three in my opinion.

Had the Lexus IS been in this poll, it would have been decisively harder for myself to answer.

Hard to vote since first off I haven't seen the new A4 in the metal... but although it looks nice, it seems to lack something.

Anyhow, I finally I voted 3er mainly due to the engine/performance (335i), dynamics and the availability of a manual tranny.

If I were going on looks alone (interior & exterior) though, it would have been the C.

P.S. Deutch, I disagree that the new C edges the 3er in terms of driving dynamics, especially considering the less direct steering.

To each his own.

I felt it was awful light in and around town, not nearly as well weighted nor feelsome(there is feel just not as much) as the 3er, though very precise. However, when pushed the C-class responds with an eagerness much like the 3er. The C is a more easy going car than the 3er, and just as capable. The 3er takes the cake for driving fun, no doubt.

C class...
IMO best looking, would be great fun to drive and interior is decent.
The BMW 3 series not as good looking as a C class AMG kit, fun to drive and the interior IMO i prefer the C class's.
A4 IMO is just a facelift nothing exciting and new in terms of design.

ppl really love the C around here.. cuase its no easy thing to beat the 3er..not even in unsientific polls like this one:D

I saw a C today with the "18 AMG wheels in chrome finish. The car looked sharp, and the lines are so progressive, so sensual. The 3er and the C are neck and neck in my book, though there are some obvious advantages held by either car. Pick either one and you couldn't have made a bad choice.

I've loved the new C-Class from the beginning, and the more I see it, the more I love it.

This car is just me made car. :D
