I do like a stick Giannis, especially a good one it's just my lifestyle suits an auto more.

I'd only get to enjoy it 10% of the time and the remaining 90% would just annoy me.

Spend too much time on the M25 and M23 motorways here!

UK pricing is £28,940 which is almost 3 grand less than the Golf R. If the pricing is just as competitive in North America, I reckon this car is going to be a huge success.

On paper, it has the makings of being the best car in it's class. Really looking forward to the reviews!

Been available to order for a few weeks and the UK Price has already risen from £28,940 to £29,995. WTF.

2016 Ford Focus RS goes into production

The first 2016 Ford Focus RS has rolled off the assembly line in Saarlouis, Germany.

Set to arrive at U.S. dealerships this spring, the high-performance hatchback has an aggressive front fascia with HID headlights, a revised grille, and a front splitter. The model also has a dual exhaust system, a rear diffuser, and 19-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Super Sport summer tires.

The interior echoes the standard model but comes nicely equipped with Recaro sport seats, leather upholstery, and a SYNC 3 infotainment system. Drivers will also find a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a special gear knob, and a keyless entry system with a push-button ignition. Other highlights include RS-branded door sill plates, unique floor mats, and a 10-speaker Sony audio system.

Power is provided by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that produces 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive system with dynamic torque vectoring function. This enables the model to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in just 4.7 seconds.

The Ford Focus RS will be priced from $35,730 in the United States excluding an $875 destination charge.

So much power in a 15k hatchback is ridiculous.

I dont know about creating new standards. But drift mode is intresting. Can everybody be a Ken block....

I can understand the attraction of the 6 speed manual and Im all for it and would prefer mine in a manual , but why is there no option for a dual clutch cant help but feel that it alienates some potential buyers not only for the RS but the ST as well. The fact that dual clutch equipped GTI's and Golf R 's sell way more than the manuals says it all. Give your customers more options and it wouldn't hurt as they would be faster cars.

The Focus ST is only available with a manual. Apparently Ford hasn't felt the need to offer a an auto option for the ST. The RS's production numbers will be even smaller than the ST and the RS customer base will be even more specific so developing a new unwarranted gearbox doesn't make sense.
