C-Class New C class first drive by Autoexpress (includes new pics of the car!)

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.
Yeah that is very rough translation...lol!! Hmmm...306hp without direct inject or turbos, what is Mercedes on I wonder. I think I know what they're going to do now, the new V6 will come out with the SLK FL then the C and new E will get it during the same year. In the states that means the 2009 models no doubt. I want more than 306hp though!

LOL! That's the same as the old V8.

I have to agree though. I'm a bit baffled by the decision here too since Mercedes already introduced CGI for the V6 in the CLS and soon to be the E-class. Certainly Mercedes wouldn't allow an E-class to be outpowered (292 vs. 306) by a lowely C-class, that is unless three things: The information is bogus, the E-class and CLS get uprated V6's next year, or Mercedes offers a luxury C350 CGI (292hp and 365Nm) and a C350 sport (306hp and 350Nm) with much improved top end (something the engine has been under scrutiny recently).

Oh I forgot the CLS is getting a face-lift too isn't it. That will likely happen right along with a new E-Class since all the 2008 wares have been shown concerning the U.S. market. Boy this year's Frankfurt show is going to be a Benz fest. Something tells me that Mercedes has been disappointed with the CGI V6 because they only released it in a few markets and it was very low-key in doing so. You know I want a full 340hp out of the V6 so the 5.5L V8 can be pushed to 425hp and the 4.7L V8 can be pushed to 375hp.
