M3/M4 New BMW M3 Chop!

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

There was this PS of a black M3 standing near a circuit.. now thats HAWT..that was what i was expecting..maybe my expectation where to high..??

looked like a typical rice car, thats not what M,AMG and RS are about.

The lights look great but the front bumper could have been better designed. It looks really bland just like the front bumper of the M6. A few times it have taken me a few seconds to identify an M6 coming straight at me. An M-car should be instantly recognizable from any angly. The M5 bumper is a much nicer creation.
Hopefully the M3 will have aggressive looking side skirts and wheel arches to compensate for the bumper.

I'm with Luwalira on this...I also don't think that the front bumper looks all that. But i will reserve my judgement for the final product because for some reasons the Germans are designing cars that we have to wait and see in real life to truly judge.

We really dont know what the bumper is going to look like but if its anything like that PS it will be hot. I do however agree that the font of the M6 isnt aggressive enough. I too have to squint to tell if thats an M6 coming at me or a 650i. I think we can rest assured that BMW will make the M3 very aggressive looking especially the four door. The e46 was more aggressive than the e39 so i would say the same thing will go here. At least I hope so.

You have probably missed the picture below which was posted a few pages back.
It shows that the front bumper looks 100% like the PS.

Yes, this is a final production design.

Also the rear bumper will be almost identical to Huckfeldt's CGI.

The only question remains the rear licence plate position: on bumper or on boot lid. Both versions were displayed. The one with bunper placed licence plate had a lightweight composite material boot lid - so it could be a CSL, or an early prototype. The same car also had a CF roof, so ...

Im going to die if the M3 get the license plate on the down part of the rear. The bodykit will be fine, Im certain of that but my biggest fear is the place of the lisence plate, however, I have a feeling it will look better IRL than on hucken. ugly drawings.

this is the best place

Also I hope the hood get the same bumper as M3 E46.

why is it good news? in what way will it help rs4?
It wont, it will just be less desirable, as in that I dont belive it will mirror the E46's success. They are everywhere in London.

I'm constantly baffled by how inconsistent BMW's become with their Aero kits. It appears that the new M3's front lip is gonna look so-so, but on the other hand, the sports kit for the 335 looks amazing (from the front). What gives?

It's better than it being a replication of the M sport front skirt, this way objectives for aerodymic efficency and (more importantly) aesthetic indviduality are met. In short, I love it.

that we will see in 5 years...

dont worry Artist, you will end up loving the final product of M3. if you like cars like CLS,CL and S class then you will like this too ;) :D

yes it is nice, but it just a M3 with M5 bodykit. M cars these days have different bodykits from each others.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
