Those RS6 are taking to long. M5 and E63 are alone on the market too long before we finally see a 530hk RS6.

Yeah it's disappointing, but Audi has a thing about only producing RS models every so often for exclusivity reasons. I can see the merit in that idea, but it is also bad when say an RS6 comes out at the very end of the run of a chassis (like so many cool versions of cars do) when the platform and technology is more dated and could have been more cutting edge earlier in the life of the car. That being said, I'll repeat that there are merits in this strategy as more time allows the manufacturer to work out any bugs in a new model before crowning the top tier peformance variant. There's also marketing as these higher performance and better looking versions will come out near the end of the production run in order to revitilize interest and sales for the vehicle.

Ok I might have some inside RS6 information. Today I heard about a guy who recently visited Audi and he got the info that RS6 will get turbo and just below 600hp. Sales start December 2007 and the preview will be in Frankfurt.

Well it is not like someone here expects that it will push more then 600hp but turbo in an RS car. W.T.F

I really can't see the need for Audi to use Turbo becasue their V10 engine can easily squeeze out 550hp.

MNost audi RS cars have been bi-turbo. I prefer bi-turbo, easier to tune.

I don't see Quattro Gmbh putting a Bi-turbo engine in any of the new RS cars from here on out unless it's a diesel, they're following the high revving concept for N/A engines now. Who knows though, I could be wrong?

MNost audi RS cars have been bi-turbo. I prefer bi-turbo, easier to tune.

I think Audi will only produce small petrol (4 and maybe 5 cylinder) and Diesel turbo engines.
VR6, V6, V8, V10 and W12 will not have turbo's in the near future IMHO.

Audi is completing the A6 range with the RS6 as an direct competitor to BMW’s M5. Don’t get fooled by the S6 stickers on this Audi. This is the brand new and still secret RS6. The bigger air intakes in the front bumper and the two big oval exhaust pipes are the key clues. While the S models have four round exhaust pipes, the RS models have two oval pipes as their distinguishing feature.

Shown in these spy photos is the Avant (station wagon), but it will also be available as a saloon. Powered by the same V10 engine as the S6, but with some help from a turbo delivering about 520-550 bhp, this Audi will give the M5 and E63 AMG a strong challenge. The RS6 will debut in Geneva in March 2007.

They do spy pics, but have no clue about product planning. Specially the timing part.

March 2007 sounds a bit optimistic. This thing is going to kick some serious ass. I think the M5 will need a competition package to play with this thing. Its kind of funny that Audi is building the car thats going to beat its flag ship(the M5) while at the same time BMW is building a car going to beat Audi's flag ship (RS4)...kind of interesting.

But I have to say one or two things...First,I would love to see Audi or Merc to beat BMW by same weapon BMW uses to build M cars..By that I mean no turbo or 1-2 litre more cc in engine..And only then I will recognize that M division has somethig out there to worry about..Till then,BMW M POWER !!
