Hi, I like the design but i am disappointed with the performance figures. This car has a problem with the weight. The manufacturers must start thinking in saving weight, because this will become a nonsense situation. The Veyron looks like a Elise compare to this RS6

I'll say it again. Ridiculous power. Funny how we've always thought Audi was always lacking in the power department, now they dominate the competition in that respect. Paired with quattro (and it will really need it, considering its weight) it should be a crazy, crazy performer.

I'm just not feeling the tiptronic auto. Something as devilish as this should at least come with a manual box.

Now that Audi has one upped the Gallardo's output, I'm expecting no less than a bi-turbo V10 from the next Gallardo, with higher boost.

Overall, I... can't say I want to buy this car. It's over the top, too much power and too much weight to be feeling any good about driving it.

What I'm waiting for now is the RS8 version of the R8 with this engine. The Gallardo will need quite a power boost when the RS8 comes along.

As for this car having more power than the Gallardo it isn't surprising since this is obviously a turbo charged car, while the Gallardo has a NA V10 pushing out 520hp. So the difference isn't really that big.

BTW that's a whole lot of front over hang.

This is for a person that has no need to be the best.
JUST a person that know to appricate, Art, Tecnology, Sounds, Strong and very emotionale Feelings. A person that dear to be hated for driving one of the worlds most C02 bad asses in the world. Still this person is a good person.

He's only wish is to have Audi's best car ever made!

The wheelarch flares don't look that obvious in these photos. The rear end actually looks pretty normal. Perfect sleeper supercar.

This is the world's most expensive grocery cart, R8 and GT3 money right there. I hope that the sedan will be a cheaper with a sticker price a little under 100k.

I think the price of the RS6 will be close to 200.000 Euros here in The Netherlands. Craaazzzy.

But, that leaves more than enough space for BMW and Mercedes to up the ante for much less $$$ next gen (and next gen is coming soon, starting with a close to finished new E class)

Amazing car! 580 hp is more than enough to take the power crown. I don't think people should be disappointed to 650 Nm because that's a huge torque figure. The car looks awesome and the interior is easily class-leading just like in the regular A6.

A couple of questions:
Are there paddles behind the steering wheel? How long do we have to wait for the sedan?

BTW I just realised that in this class you can't get a manual anymore. M5 is sequential (NA disappointing manual M5 not included ), E 63 is auto and RS6 is auto too.

And note Audi usually state weight figures per DIN standard, while BMW & MB report ones by EU standard.

Meaning: add another 75kg (68kg driver, 7kg cargo) to RS6 figure to make it comparable to M5 Touring & E63 estate numbers.

Hardly. The current 5.0 S85 V10 by BMW is capable of 580 hp without much modifications. BMW should stick with this V10 next gen, and maybe add another liter to the engine and make it a 6.0....then it'll have around 630 hp.

The engineers over at AMG are probably furious. Just when they switched over to NA they now have to make a complete u-turn and switch back to super chargers.

Well not superchargers, but turbochargers. That was the plan if more power was needed. Look for a 6.0L version of the current AMG V8 with direct-injection and turbos come S-Class/CL facelift/new E-Class time, 2010.
