A real sporty driver sometimes has a family; so the Porsche is out. And may not have the money to have a sportcar and a family car. This is why the M5, RS6 ans E63 exist;
The one will prefer the sporty but not so reliable and comfortable M5;
the others will go for the comfort-biased and understated, but very powerful and brutal with ist monstruous torque E63;
others will go for the heavy, sure with its Quattro, and very powerful Audi.
I'm sure these car will keep their brands' spirit; M the sports with less compromises, AMG the perfect balance between the comfort and sport, RS pure power with Quattro.
It is like that since two decades or more, no reason that it would change. Even if both Audi and AMG are beginning to be more sporty without renying their brands' philosophy, M still is the real uncompromised of the three.
You see a lot more M than RS or AMG on tracks.
