damn i need to get me a house there.. how much does it cost.. any web site to check for info?
LOL, looking at the size of those houses on the Island - I would say it costs LOT$ Artist :D

Yeah.. but lets just dream for a while..
Let me have my dream.. its dark and cold in sweden now.. dreams like these is the only thing keeping me alive out here :D---haha

Dont take my words for it, but my guess is each building is made up of 2 houses not one :) not sure though

That island is so :icondrool :icondrool :icondrool :icondrool
I can't even express what I feel when I see those pictures. Dubai seem like such a wonderful country and that's a place I want to visit and live in then I'm older.

Here is another man made Island being built in Dubai called "The World" - just incredible!!

Yeah those islands are really cool and several american celbs have bought themselves islands and one of those will set you back 15-20 million(just the land).

Dubai sure is becoming one of THE places to be seen in - I think that is very good for the Middle East as a whole - the West has so many misconceptions about that part of the world - The UAE has been very clever to be very modern but also keep a strong Middle Eastern feeling about the place - it doesn't look like anything in the Western World.

Alhambra is absolutely stunning, refinement of it's architecture and interior decoration are so elegant and beautiful.

Just like Cape Town, Dubia has become a third world paradise for wealthy people. My only concern for Dubai is that the city is groowing too fast for it's own good. There are too many construction project in the air and I fear that a real estate crash is just around the corner.

Real estate crash?? Exactly what im thinking of :) and your right though

Shonguiz, whats alhambra ??.

Yea, say hello to the Asian crash version 2. that would be horrible... hope no one has to go through that.

The way I see it is that Duabi is doomed. They are building too many skyscrapers, hotels and expensive homes. Those real estaters are too horny, they are more building than grass land in Dubai. It's simply insane how fast the city is growing. I predict that a real estate crash will have hit the country by the end of md 2007. Houses and offices will stand empty and investors will lose alot of money. The count down clock is ticking. :1zhelp: :nopity:

I wonder what will happen when the oil is finished:D

They will earn money on turism. The fact that the oils is running out is why they are building new attractions.

I wonder if they will make so much money off tourism that they can keep up the lavish lifes.. and the big running cost for these huge projects..
I really hope someone has done their math overthere:D

ppl have done their math, and they do have statistics, sometimes i get convinced, bet then again i say some stuff cant be happening.

wheres the new French bridge???
That would be the Viaduc de Millau, designed by Lord Norman Foster - it is in Millau, Southern France and crosses over the Tarn river valley.

Who would you vote for? My vote goes to the Statue of Liberty, just 'cause it's in New York :D
The Mosque in Timbuktu (on the list) is the world's largest mud brick structure - I would love to visit it one day - it really is a wonderful building - it just goes to show that even under the most modest circumstances humanity can create astounding things.
