ps. I'm thinking about recording the process to put it in the videos.. but for now I have to leave it as it is, because of my current PC limitations...

Probably many os us remember the late 90's BMW M coupe. It was a bit controversial... but I liked it. It looks great.
I wanted to create some kind of spiritual successor to that model... especialy since the curren gen Z4 doesn't even have a proper M verison. Anyway.. here it it ;) Hope you like it :)

Wow bro welcome and these illustrations are excellent. Thanks for sharing with us. As I am a big fan of the W124 Mercedes will you be able to come up with a 500E T-model or a BMW E39 5-series coupe?

Could you make a version of the new Maybach S class (in red) with the front bumper of the Maybach 6 concept?

AB claimed in January 1994 that the coupe was greenlighted and the cabrio is just one step away from greelightening. The interesting in this rendering is that it has the headlights of the M5, which was released in 98

The 80s and 90s had some excellent car sketches. Mark Stehrenberger is another guy whos sketches was so realistic and appeared in so many magazines.

different times back then, people still bought magazines unlike now a days. The renders were superior back then, things went downhill in the mid 2000s I feel, maybe closer to end of 2000s.

Ahh Huckfeldt...the good old times!
Seeing that blue e39 coupe I remember one of these magazine drawings that announced that the 4 series would be launched (they thought it would be the 5 series coupe and they used precisely the e39) since the 6 series was discontinued at that time
The 80s and 90s had some excellent car sketches.
What pleasant memories, those sketches were magical, and in some cases of very high artistic quality, but all conveyed that beautiful feeling of "this is what the car will be like."
Thanks for posting
The renders were superior back then,
It will be that like today, anyone has the tools to render and publish on the internet but not always the talent

This topic deserves its own thread, please

Some time has passed... and unfortunatelly since A8 FL is coming soon, my design is.. a bit outdated ;) But because I allready made it a few day ago (but didn't have time to finish the video) I will share it..

Is it better than the one on the first page?

Good job on the design side! Otherwise I don’t see it as a competitor to the Maybach, feels quite Chinese, or like that awful Toyota limousine.

I think BMW realised for a long time that between the 2-door-sedan-esque 3 series Coupe, and the struggling E31 8 series Coupe, they had a fairly big gap in their line-up. The cancelled E34 Convertible and 6 cylinder 830i could indicate they wanted something to try and fill the gap, but perhaps they didn't think the market was quite big enough, given that both models were to be replaced by a dedicated, 5 series based, 6 series coupe (which was ultimately previewed by the Z9 only 5 years after AB's rumour of an E39 coupe having been greenlit, not enough time for a full life cycle).

Having said that, it is my opinion that the Z9 was destined to be an 8-series model when conceived, and it's eventual branding as a 'lesser' 6-series (perhaps because of the use of the '8' for the Z8) would not only have killed the E39 Coupe, but was possibly why the E92 maintained the 3-series name, rather than being bumped upwards to a 4-series, as rumours (and it's more unique styling) potentially indicated.

All just supposition, mind.

Chrome strip at the bottom of the front bumper it hard to see in the spy shots... so it's just my gueass how it could look.
Anyway... hope you like it :)

A quick one to @Ozy ;) Sorry.. I forgot about the red color... Anyway as usuall... concept cars almost always look better.

You are too cruel. You've just killed the factory Maybach.
What a great job.
