Finalised my order on my Cayenne a fortnight ago. Picked a metallic black diesel with Umber/Tartufo interior with 20" RS Spyder alloys and some choice extras. Will be here at the start of next year.

Hopefully this motor might convince the wife to switch her GTI into a small SUV like an X3 or Q5 and let me back into a two door sportscar.

Well, congratulations on your new car. But you have to realise that buying a diesel Porsche won't help you very much here :D

Congrats i am also considering a diesel cayenne for end of next year just waiting to see how the new ML will be.

LOL, I already thought about that one though having driven the entire range the only two models which are of any real interest are the diesel and the turbo. Sadly the turbo is more money than I am willing to throw at a car and the diesel does everything as well as the rest of the range during 95% of the time, plus returns 38mpg while doing so.

Another thing, it's life with me will be short so it's no real hardship driving a modestly powered diesel. Anyhow there is already a chip in development to boost this to 285hp which is plenty should I feel the need.

Good car choice but do you make money on your car deals?
I mean, I keep my cars for a few years before I change to a new. You on the other hand buy two new cars within a year. Can't be nice on your wallet. Am I correct?

Thanks for your concern towards my costs but you shouldn't bother yourself. ;)

Uh oh, sensitive subject. Excuse me for asking then. Its a free world, questions are allowed and answering is as well. Are you keeping the S4 (I hope the question wasn't personal)?

No, I didn't mean it was a sensitive subject at all, I was only saying that you need not worry about the cost to myself, I am well covered and no the S4 will be going.

and the Golf then, keeping or selling?
Why three cars, Cayenne when going uphill, S4 when it rains and the Golf for trackdays ;)

You never know, I might even get a BMW as well, just in case I run out of fuel in one of the others.

mm but the Cayenne is 'soccer mum' car and you aint a chick :D

Well if you fancy me then you seriously do have problems. :D

BTW, I couldn't agree more, all SUVs shout Chelsea tractor. But out of all of them it's the Cayenne which is the most accomplished on the road, plus this time round it's arguably the best looking both inside and out.
