Hi Betty, congrats on the new M135i.

Did you get the run flat tyres?
Do you notice the road noise at all? I found the M135i had a lot more road noise than my 335i which itself had a lot more road noise than my comparatively silent M5.

No, it came with Michelin Pilot Super Sports as standard.

I haven't noticed any excessive road noise at all. Might look out for it now though.

Yeah the M5 is remarkably good for something decidedly sporty in nature.

You only have to drive the southern stretch of the M25 for a short while to notice the road noise.
Very dependant on the road surface itself though.

I'll listen out for it.

I'm crossing Belgium and a short stint in France, and then the M20-M25-M11-A14-A1-M62-M1 tomorrow night.

What the???

160 000 km a year?

Surely that can't be right...?

Ha! Yeah, I meant KM, and even then, I've just worked it out and it's not even close to that, so disregard.

I do about 6,000km in my R8, 20,000km in my A1, 7,000km in my Up, and then about 35,000km in other cars, such as rental cars.

So it's around 70,000km in a year.

As an aside, I got in an E-Class taxi last week (W211), and it had 944,000km on the odometer.

Had the M Performance exhaust fitted this lunchtime in Sandal BMW Wakefield, UK.

I am SOO happy. Very glad I did it now. It sounds so exotic and cultured. Nice pops on the overrun. And only £825.

Very happy indeed.
Wow, £825 sounds very cheap. Does this modification increase your insurance premiums?

It should have been £1,025 but I got £200 off from a dealer in Gloucester. The delivered it to my dad in Leeds and I paid another dealer to fit it.

So, here's the video clip of the M Performance exhaust on my M135i. It's not exactly comparing apples with apples, but this set up sounds as good, if not better, than any BMW I've had before, including E46 M3, E92 M3 and Z4 M Coupe. Superb.
