That’s so fetchI thought I would be welcomed with hugs and kisses by the BMW posse.
Turns out they're just a bunch of mean girls.

I understand, it is more a matter of growth in terms of constantly improving (as long as one can) and that it is the right car adapting to the needs and desires of each stage.I've never stated I would keep any car for the rest of my life, despite really enjoying a lot of them.
My previous 340i 40th Anniversary Edition was the best car I have ever personally owned, yet I sold it due to a growing family. The W222 S-class is the best car my family has owned that I have driven extensively (The W223 will likely take this place in time should it prove as reliable). I can't comment on the previous Mercedes that they owned when I was a kid. I am told though that I used to insist on being driven to school in the W126 when I was young, so it must have been good! LOL
This M4 will be no different. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to drive and own a few different vehicles and, should that remain the case, I would like to own a 911 or AMG GT in the next couple of years. Circumstances can change, but that's in God's hands. I am leaning towards the AMG GT simply because of the V8 and on a day to day basis it will likely provide more enjoyment/drama than a 911. The 911 requires very dedicated roads to really appreciate the finer handling finesse IMO and it's interior is actually very disappointing.

Interesting. I never considered this and can't think of many cars that I've driven/ridden that have driver seats that close to the rear axle. Perhaps only the Caterham and Abarth 124.Maybe, but even with adaptive dampers it still feels stiff because the seats are almost over the rear axle. The thing that really bothers me in my GT is too much road and exhaust noise at high speeds.
Thanks for sharing those first hand experiences, interesting...it may not be an exotic but from what you say that's how they perceive it.View attachment 676316
I think I've mentioned it on here before, but the amount of attention this car get's is ridiculous. Even more so than the Taycan. Windows getting wound down at traffic lights to ask about it, conversations struck up at service stations (petrol stations), thumbs up as people drive by, girls asking to take photos in front of the car at shopping centres. It's a bit crazy for something that really isn't an exotic. The Satin PPF really seems to have struck a cord and brings the best out of the M4. By the wayside, that is my Ex-wifes new house. The house that has wrecked my AMG GT/911 Plans for 2024. LOL.
Meanwhile we had a C200 for a week as acoustic glass was fitted to the S (It was listed on the spec guide, but came shipped from the factory without it). The C200 is a fantastic car in terms of design, ride, handling, refinement and so on, no questions asked. It's such a damn shame about the interior finish.
Without the acoustic glass the W223 was already exemplary in terms of NVH. Easily better than our W222. Now it's just next level.

Us car fanatics might consider matte or satin finishes to be common but in the real world they aren’t. I had a friend who used to change his car wraps every 2 years. The attention some of his wraps got was nuts.
Your car looks tidy. Any mods or extras planned?
I came across this and I can't help but see it as quite exotic, very well donethat really isn't an exotic.
Time for a new wife![]()
She's home!
I adore the colour combination and the sense of occasion hopping in and driving it.
Platinum Magno with Truffle Napa Leather and Carbon Fibre.I have only ever seen two silver g wagons. Rare colour which looks even better as frozen. She’s a stunner and incomparable to EQ cars.
Lol. Sorry for insulting you by referring to it as silver.Platinum Magno with Truffle Napa Leather and Carbon Fibre.
