My B5 RS4 (and other Audi's)

I grew up around Audi's, my Dad had 3 brand new ones spanning the late 70s to late 80s.

I started off my love of them with an S2 Avant which ended up looking like this:

I then got tempted by B5 S4's after a mate took me for a ride in his, 3 weeks later I had sold the S2 and bought a totally standard S4:

I ran that for a year with no mods, and due to money commitments beyond my control I sold it and got another S2 Avant. It was the last one sold in the UK, and a rare colour too:

After a year with that, I had the chance to get another S4, only this time I did lots of research and made sure I got a really good spec one (let someone else pay for the mods for a change!)

Basically, everything under the bonnet was RS4 apart from the block, rods and pistons. EVERYTHING else was B5 RS4 apart from the coolers which I swapped for a front mount.
It was running just under 500bhp, had coilovers, straight through exhaust with no cats, RS4 brakes etc etc

It was a stunning car and I loved it in every way, but it still was'nt my ultimate Audi.
They were still out of my price range.... until 12 months ago when their values started dropping a lot due to fuel costs etc. So it was time to move on!

Approx 12 months ago to the day, I finally reached my goal :)

Its current spec is:

MRC custom remap - 422BHP
XS cat less down pipes
Milltek dual non res exhaust with no main cats
H&R springs
H&R front and rear ARB's
B7 RS4 front brakes
Uprated oil cooler
Tanoga short shift

Since it was mapped it has been decatted and had the downpipes added, if it was tweaked now it would run approx 470bhp.
This year I might be tempted to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors, and then get the map adjusted to suit and it should be running approx 500bhp

Your B5 is very nice, same colour as my mates RS4 saloon was.
Id love to own a car from brand new knowing only I had owned it

^That sound is amazing! It's like you never want to stop to floor it :)

I will also put make a video of my Q5 when I get that non-resonated system from AWE :)

Its addictive! :)
They were not red line puts either, just short shifting.
The exhaust was'nt as hot as it could be either, it pops and bangs then too :D

Again, gotta give you kudos for your cars you've had. You see, the B5 S4 sedan has somehow always been a dreamcar of mine. I always hated the fact that there was no RS4 B5 sedan. Also, the RS4 B5 Avant was such an amazing car. I've followed it since day 1, when it was released in 2000. All tests, everything. I knew of the RS2 before, but it was the RS4 B5 that really caught my Audi attention. When I bought my B5 A4 in January 2001, I had an S4 as the ultimate dreamcar. Now many years passed, and there came so many new Audis after that. But I do know that one day I will get my self an S4 B5 00-02 as a hobby car. And who know I maybe get myself an RS4 B5 too. Fact is actually, that my A4 is faster then even Stage1 S4's, so it feels very special to kick my pals 312hp S4's ass hehe. Of course, from rolling start since my A4 is FWD...unfortunately.

Some other Audi cars I plan to collect some day are; RS4 B7 Sedan, S8 V10, S3 3door'07, RS3, S5. As I said, some day... hehe. But now my focus is on the Q5, cause it's perfect where I live now, and also keep making the A4 more powerful :)

I made a short video today to test my camera and mic

Can I ask u what camera and mic that is?
Want to get some small action camera as well, as my Canon Eos 5d mark II isn't the ultimate "put outside the car" camera :D

Except for the blacked out Audi rings in the grille, and that it was little to low for my taste, your S4 was amazing :) One day, Ill find myself something like this. ;)
