The Mühldorfer Volksfest started today and will be here for a week. Tons of beer, good food, hot chicks with juggs (and cigarettes) and good times are to be expected!

Here's the opening ceremony! :t-cheers:

Various breweries and businesses display their mascots etc.

BMW 700 Cabrio. My dad had the coupe version in the 1960s as a young man. The normal version put out 40-horsepower but he had the sports version which pumped out 45-horsepower. Big difference. :D

An old MG. This guy lives down my street. He also has a yellow Porsche 914 2.0 but his cars are in the garage most of the time.

It's a pity that this luxury carmaker doesn't exist anymore. I wonder why none of the 3 big Germans hasn't considered of "resurrecting" that make, like Mercedes did with Maybach. Correct my if I'm wrong, but Horch was also the founder of Audi, so maybe it should Audi be the one to produce top of the line luxury cars under the name Horch. It's just a thought, so, please don't shoot me!:D

Ah, sehr gut!

I think you can improve your German by reading AMS or Autobild etc. online. I improved my English big time by reading American and British publications online. :usa7uh:

I was wondering the same thing. It would be interesting if the Horch brand was resurrected to compete with Maybach and the likes. :eusa_thin

Horch's son founded Audi, I think. "Horch" in German means "to listen" and Audi is the Latin version of "to listen" I believe. Ask Yannis! :D

Super pics, Chris!
seems marketplace got a nice restoration with colorful, ancient houses.
Top weather for :t-cheers: !

PS: and certainly a few hot chicks! :D

Thanks. :t-cheers:

It's an ancient town that only in the last few years has been really modernized. We got Internet 7 years ago! :usa7uh:

Just kidding about the Internet. :D

Resurrecting the Horch marque is an idea which pops up every now and then in the automotive press. At one point they were quite sure VW group was about to do just that.

Nope, August Horch founded both Horch and Audi. Before that he worked for Karl Benz. He fell into some sort of dispute with the people at Horch, left the company and set up a new company. First he tried to use the name Horch Automobil-Werke but since the old company still owned the rights to the Horch name, he latinized the name into Audi.
