Here are some pictures of the "Mühldorfer Trachtenfest". It's an event taking place every few years and shows the traditional costumes from the region. This years special guests were invited from the Czech Republic, Russia and a Scottish group who are the official world champions in bagpipe playing (well their music was very good and enjoyable).
The event lasted the whole morning and the different representatives from different towns paraded through the Mühldorfer Stadtplatz each accompanied by their own band.
And of course, I made sure that BABES were photographed and included.
This is before the walk. Couldn't help but notice this lovely face...
The safety car, a Mercedes 290GD Turbodiesel from the local fire department...
We begin the parade with the local Mühldorfer Stadtkapelle band...
The man on your right is the major of Mühldorf: Günther Knoblauch (his last name means "Garlic").
The town of Buchbach...
A taste of things to come. Lovely females.
Forgot the name of this town....
Some nice legs you got there, baby.
Cute girls, but waaaay to young.
A miniature model of the church from the town where these guys came from.
Can't enjoy this without some music, right?
More traditional costumes...
She should really smile more often...
Nice beard.
Now we're talking! Gimme a kiss, baby!
Flag bearers from another nearby town. I know the names of the town but I can't place them because I don't know their traditional costumes and their town symbols...
Not sure if the guns were loaded. In the second shot, those appear to be Kar98's.
These were wannabe Scandinavians from Munich. A Munich dance group dedicated to dancing traditional Scandinavian dances...
More German babes.
Here we have the guests from the Czech Republic in what I assume must be traditional costumes. They also had their own music accompanying them.
The first girl is so-so, the second girl freaked me out!
I'd say she's lovely, but she looks like she's 15. No thanks. I need older women.
The "Mühldorfer Hex" (witch). Yep, my town burned people accused of witchcraft during the Medieval periods. The jail were they were kept still exists and is open for the public. It's a small dark room with no windows measuring about 3 x 2 meters. It almost looks like an oven because you can only enter through a small wooden door. Inside there's a bench made out of thick old wood. The place smells "old and creepy". Anyway, this is a reenactment so the girl here is not going to be burned! Chill people!
More pics...
Two of the hottest babes I saw that day. I wish I had met them at another place at another time... LOL
Here's the cultural group from Russia, complete with traditional costumes and Balaika music! It was awesome.
Castle Schwindegg, from the nearby town of Schwindegg...duh...
I'd be a gentleman and help her carry that heavy thing...
The guy with the mug is the local brewmaster's son. Very funny guy. Always parking in the no-parking zones and getting his car towed away with heavy fines. Hilarious. Must be drunk 24/7. He also has the Guinness World Record in opening 16 bottles of beer in some unbelievably low time! Check it out. Wolfgang Unertl Jr. is his name.
Mmmmmm..... too bad she had a nasty tongue piercing. Yuck!
And to wrap it all up, the guys from Scotland with their bag pipes. These are the world champions in bagpipe playing I was told.
Hope you enjoyed pictures (and lovely girls!).
