Okay, look a T9. Brakes half a year too early then rounds it 2mph faster. T6 - 5mph slower than on previous laps. Worse braking? Nah deceleration gradient shows better braking in places (e.g. T6 and T7 entry). Could have definitely carried more speed through T3 and he slowed to early and too much for T10. Turned in too early for T6 and T2. T11 entry, P1 starts 0.5mph faster, brakes at same point, red line under blue, then red line appears left of blue line, hence better braking again, and again broke too early and superior braking actually gives speed delta that works against the P1 (see below). All in the video.

McLaren engineer: 4 or 5 adjustments to the tire pressure before they (Trofeo R) settle.
More laps and more adjustments...new set of Trofeo R installed...more laps...more pressure changes...P1 goes no faster.
Beware of P1 fans for the next couple of weeks and maybe months.

Which car took 23.29s to do 0-200mph with Autocar and which car took 29.7s? Bearing in mind that is probably on the shittiest surface in the world.
0-150mph - 9.9s on a damp/greasy Dunsfold with MT.
149-189mph in 7s.

So where's your issue with the 0-186mph in 16.5s claim. Show me similar evidence supporting a 15.0s 0-186mph for the LaFerrari.
Can you seriously look at T9 and say that corner wasn't a total clusterf**k?WTF! He offered to show Randy the braking points... he offered to show McLaren how to set up the car... he offered to show Pirelli how to build tires 20% grippier... he offered to redo Laguna Seca to have only 60mph+ corners...
But no one ever got back to him... so now we have to suffer him.
Now watch the video. Slowed too early into T10, hence why the P1 came through T9 faster but still made a lower speed between T9 and T10 despite being faster on the straights.
Entry to T11. Doing 0.5mph faster, check, brakes same time check (red line invisible under blue), between 80-50mph it's going slower than 918 during that brake, check (red line now left of blue). But wait, brakes are worse????
Entry to T8 - Oh deary me, over-brake again.
Conclusion: brakes are not inferior, he's just braking too damn early. You can't make mistakes like this with these cars and expect to get a faster lap. The car is faster, he just didn't drive it faster. Unfortunately the car can't drive itself and every fast car needs to be driven fast for it to be fast.
T3 &T4! - LOL! WTF did he do there then?

We are talking about street legal luxury cars. These cars don't race on a track.
But when they do, the 918 sets the records, without any technical assistance from a whole team.
And when you want to go race on a track, you take a real race car.

But when they do, the 918 sets the records, without any technical assistance from a whole team.
And when you want to go race on a track, you take a real race car.
It sets record for one lap, meanwhile P1 owners are track day regulars and run faster laps than 918 owners at Spa all day long. HL mode is just so 918 owners can go talk BS at the pub about being the fastest.

Lap time set on Anglesey is irrelevant on this thread.

Unless you want to only do 1 lap on a track day it is.
...It should also be noted that MT use 91 octane fuel in these test, also known as Accutane/donkey piss/rat semen etc. So that wouldn't have helped a turbocharged car.

Fact is, the P1 was the slower car on that day, despite changes made to the tires and tire pressure. Btw how do the 918 race on the internet? Is it like the movie Tron??
Wouldn't affect it anywhere near as badly as a boosted engine and 918 IC engine only provides 608hp (<65%) of overall power, the P1's IC engine provides 737hp (>80%) of overall power.
Wouldn't be an issue. The P1 would be so much faster than a 918 in Riceboy Hybrid Mode around the likes of Spa that it could pull in for a tea break, should it need to refuel before the race was over. Not sure it would need to though. Both cars would need to change tyres. The 918 lap pace isn't exactly stable even excluding recharging laps. And if it rains, the P1 can throw on PZCS whilst the 918 turns into a boat.
No it's like they do one lap, and then you replay it to make GP distance because that's all it's got.
