Motor Trend - Head to Head: 2010 Cadillac CTS-V vs. 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Read

Despite the somewhat clumsy aesthetics I would take the CTS-V over the E 63. In fact, I would take a manual CTS-V over the RS6 and even the M5(!!!).

Sunny, the analogue clock in the instrument panel is almost as traditional in Mercedes' as the foot-operated parking break and the multi-function stalk. Some of these traditions aren't necessarily the most functional or ergonomic implementations but they have become MB traditions and Mercedes drivers are used to them. ;)

Mercedes stalks are the best IMO as are their seat controls. The cruise control stalk in particular.

I agree. Especially the MB cruise control is so simple and intuitive, pure genious!
On the other hand, I prefer two separate stalks (one on the left and one on the right side of the steering wheel) for windshield wipers, high beams, blinkers etc. instead of "squeezing" them all in one multi-function stalk.
I also prefer the handbrake in the center console, it leaves some more space for the left foot.

Lol...So I guess it's time to change your username then.

Well, I would still take the E39 M5 over the CTS-V because it's one of my all time favorite cars. :eusa_snoo:D

I can understand that, but it all works so well in a Benz. Both in function and feel of the stalk itself. There is non of brittle, feel like its going to break off feel you get in some cars.
